The town was busier than normal today, and people were pushing and shoving past each other. For whatever reason, the crowds were double the size, and the streets were crowded beyond belief! To get a quick break from all the motion outside, you stumble into a nearby building. A Hylian man in a red hat with a matching red backpack was working behind the counter, and he looked to be having quite a bit of trouble with all the letters. He pushed and crammed envelopes into his bag, and it was starting to overflow with mail. He turned around and leaned on the counter, sighing heavily. He lifted his hat and wiped his brow, before noticing you standing there.

"Oh! Welcome to the post office! Where your delivery is always on time!" He said this, probably out of obligation, and completely out of breath. "I'm sorry! But we're not accepting any more letters today!" He called out to you, as he raced across the room to grab another pack, this one for the hip. "We're so full, it'll be a miracle if I can deliver these all on time. No! What am I saying? I must! I am the best! The very best! The best there is, I tell you! One two, one two, one two..." He counted as he began cramming letters into the new pack. Suddenly he whirled around and studied you closely. He eyed you up and down, making a note of your worn footwear. "Are you a traveler?" He asked, suddenly halting his work. "Yes, there's no mistaking it! You've been all over Hyrule! I can tell by looking at you!" He folded his arms and nodded.

"Then it is decided! I have a request for someone like you!" He smiled widely before pulling a small bag of mail out from below the counter. "This is long distance mail! This has to be delivered on time too! But it's so far out of the way of my regular route that they'll almost assuredly be late! No! What am I saying? I'm must deliver them on time! I am the best!!" He shook his head. "What I'm saying is that I could really use your help! The Post Office would really appreciate it!" He stared at you, expectant of an answer, a letter already in his hand.

OOC: YES!!! YESS!!!! FIRST POOOOOST OF ONE OF THESE COOL QUEEESTS!!! BWAHAHAHAAAA

IC: Nogare had no rush just yet. The welcome was mildly awkward, but when he heard the task being offered, he hardly contemplated. At this time, Nogare had a small reputation among common folk for doing what he could for the people. He was considered a kind, easy-going, and purposeful helping for many people, like in Hyrule. An errand-boy at this point. An adventure still waiting around a corner, this would do fine. "Sure, sir, I could help. Where do you need it to be taken to?" He reached out his hand and took the letter with a kind smile on his face.

OOC: WEWT!!!! YEAH!!! New topic people, we are BACK! Keep this way, or I'll destroy rain a mighty reckoning upon you all!! ... hm.... would I?... tempting... All right, RG!! Thanks for this! Let's do some errands for the good of mankind!

“Excellent! I knew I could count on you the moment I saw you! You’re the best! The very second best!” The Postman handed a letter to you, and pointed to the corresponding location on the map that was pinned to the wall. “That letter is to go to the Great Deku Tree, himself! He’s at the edge of the Deku Woods, and is the largest, grandest, most magnificent tree of them all! You can’t miss him, bub!”

The Postman, after handing you the letter, goes back to his work, painstakingly sorting through letters.

"I've met him before, sure thing. I'll be back within a few days, don't worry."

He observed the envelope, and at the way it was designed, perhaps to identify them differently. Who could tell? All that mattered for him right now was to hurry. This needs to be done, and quickly.

"Excuse me," arouse a vagrant scribe. "I couldn't help but to overhear your conversation with that other adventurer." The man speaking seemed to be in his late teens; it was Simon Grendel, the scribe apprentice. "I too have traveled far and wide, and if you truly require aid in delivering these parcels and letters, I would be glad to serve you, just as I serve the written word itself. So, do you require more assistance?" asked the scholar.

A Rito stumbled into the Post Office, and leaned against the wall next to the door. He was clearly out of breath, and doubled over, hands on his knees. "The crowds today, I'll tell ya!" He called out as he pushed off the wall, and walked towards the counter. Upon listening to the Post Man's request, he nodded quickly. "Hey, that's not a problem at all! They were all out of my friend's medicine anyhow, so now this won't be a wasted trip! Where to?" He asked, accepting the letter, and stashing it in his mail bag.

Sabertache trudged into the post office, shaking his damp hair and spraying droplets about the Post Office. He had just been sent to rescue a runaway cat--a cat that had somehow managed to find itself on a rock in the middle of a river. It was time for a job that would allow him to remain on dry ground. He had heard the Post Office was looking for help, and stopped by after shopping.

"What do you need?"

The doorway quickly flung open, and in rushed a mage with a distinctive black cape. The door was shut just as quickly as before, and Alpha heaved a sigh of relief.

Word on the street was that the Post Office was in need of help sending letters all over the place lately. It seemed that for some reason or another, Alpha had decided to offer his services as well. One would probably wonder, though . . . what had caused him to take on such a charity? It certainly didn't seem up to his normal modus operandi . . .

He glanced back to the door, ears twitching as a noise rang through the crowd outside.

"Keyru?! Where'd you goooo?"

With a weary sigh he let a smile come over his face. Thank the goddesses, Shada hadn't seen him steal away inside this building.

It was only now that he actually looked around and realized exactly which building he'd come into. 'Ah, the Post Office . . . I hear they've been in need of help lately . . .' He considered for a moment, then approached the Postman. It didn't matter where the man needed a letter delivered -- if it was out of town, it was an excuse to get away from Shada, and he would happily take such an excuse.

"You need any help? Just hand me a letter and I'll see to it that it's delivered promptly."

Leth quietly entered the bustling post office.

I never knew this was here... everything is so.... busy. And yet they manage to pull it all off almost without being noticed. Fascinating.

He wound his way towards the Postman.
"I heard you needed help with letters, or something?" He asked uncertainly. Leth felt a little out of place here.

“I told you, for the last time, he doesn’t live there anymore!”

Zeze squealed and dodged the hand that snatched at the package stuck in her armpit. The Bard chuckled at the failed attempt and took the package from its hiding place to wave it like a fan in front of Sakiko’s scowl. The pouch was carefully wrapped, and bulging at different corners. It really looked like Zeze went crazy stuffing every darn thing in that limited space. She yelled,

“And I’m telling you, you silly fool, that he does! I saw him just yesterday!”

Sakiko grasped the offensive package, her eyebrows furrowing to keep from boiling over with frustration. She shook it furiously, her light gray eyes flashing.

“Don’t call me silly! And the fool here is you! Even if he does live there, do you think he’ll want his…his…”

She sputtered, her face turning pink. Zeze took advantage of this and jumped to gracefully take back her package. The girl was in no mood to banter; the post office could close any moment, and if she didn’t get it delivered today, Sakiko was sure to filch it when she wasn’t looking. Why that Mage was so intent on bugging her about her business was totally out of her globe of imagination…but whatever. The Bard stuck out her tongue and pulled open the door.

Well. It looked that someone wasn’t getting their package delivered.

While Zeze stared at the Hylian man with the red hat, Sakiko snatched the package and stuffed it inside her robe. Although she looked like she had a tumor growing out of her stomach, the Mage felt quite satisfied with her win, and allowed a tiny smirk to arise. Zeze shot a sideways glare, and always the officious lady with a scary tattoo on her face, walked over to the man after several other adventurers had done so.

“I can help ya! I mean, me and the gal over there.”

She jerked her thumb in Sakiko’s general direction. Sakiko was too busy prodding at the bulge to notice, and it was best that she hadn’t paid any attention to Zeze.
