OoC: if you're still around, look. The days of HA2 are coming to a close., we can all feel it. Out stories have been told for half a decade, and if there is more of our stories to be told, it will likely be in any future HA... Tis is where it comes to comes to a close. Everything that has transpired with your characters has happened. Now it is time for them to meet their destinies. If you don't join, we will assume you dead. Lets do this...
IC: The thunder rolled overhead, and the torn flags of the grand kingdom of Hyrule slithered in the air loosely on their poles. The air was think with death, and gore was stained across the streets of the dead. Sorrow was an intoxication. It was clear now, more than it could have ever been hopeful. No hope was left.
It was the end.
Nogare panted... It was over. Only an idiot would hope for victory. They had held off the main assault, but it would never be enough. Every rac of goblin had torn the city apart, commanding the wild kin in service of the Exile Lord. There was no one to defend it again. Only Nogare, and the heroes around him.
He took a deep breath. What now...? How had they let this happen? ...
There was a continued pause, and then turned to the others, no longer able to look for hope or answers. The only answer at hand was death, and it was not taken lightly. Solemnly, he faced them. "what now...?" he asked, all life in his voice gone.

"Heh...let's just...go out with a bang, why don't we?" Denkou suggested. Battle worn and covered in blood, his clothes were ruined and he was barely standing. A fresh set of bandages were placed over his left shoulder; he had lost his arm sometime in the earlier battle. If Kasei was here...would this have happened?
He grinned, only half-conscious due to blood loss. "Everyone who could has left the city, for all the good it'll do 'em...it's just us right now." He lifted his sword and pointed at the nearest group of creatures. "They'll be over in a sec'...sure you don't want to flee?"

OOC: This isn't canon to my story. But this is where Dogura would realistically be in this setting.
IC:
Under the pale sky, a figure emerged from shadow directly in front of the group. Dogura Shadowclaw always managed to show up under such occasions. All seemed hopeless, and he always showed up to lend his strength to the cause. The fact that he wasn't dead yet proved that his cause was usually the victor. He was now fully within view. He wasn't wearing any armor- instead he was in tight fitting black clothing, a cape billowing behind him. His eyes were set on the two that stood before him. He immediately addressed his old friend, "Nogare... You've no business in a place like this."
He remained silent for a moment before continuing. "I didn't want that to be the first thing I said to you after so much time... But the fact of the matter is, you can't win. The approaching forces are under my command, and they're all trained warriors. It isn't by the order of Ganon that I ask you to leave... It is simply the fact that I cannot bare to watch a friend of mine torn to pieces." The samurai's eyes grew softer for just a moment. "I ask as a friend that you give up your cause." Dogura stayed put- he didn't know how Nogare would react to this, and he remained vigilant as he continued.
"My army consists of many foot-soldiers, as well as a couple of hulking mutants, kept pacified only by a spell of my second in command. Ganon has been winning victories all over Hyrule during this conquest... My army has had few casualties, and they're not tired either. Believe me when I say that I never wanted to meet you on the opposite side of the battlefield... But my orders are clear, and I will not disobey them. Should you choose to fight, I cannot offer you mercy." He turned to look at Denkou. "If you ally yourself with Sir Nogare here, you will share a similar fate."
"As Dogura Shadowclaw, General of the Grim-Blade Cavalry of Ganon, I ask kindly that you vacate the area."
His aura was kicking off a massive energy- the samurai had done some serious growing since the last time that Nogare had seen him. No doubt the man would also notice the sickening aura of the demon that ached for battle inside the samurai.
"The end of times has come," Dogura stated. "I sincerely hope that when I arrive with my army in the coming moments, you'll have vanished with the thunder-clap."
He awaited a response, but it would have to be brief. Time was short.

Pain.
Insufferable pain.
Leth regarded the extreme feeling of pain as it coursed through his body, both mentally and physically. His beloved had died, murdered in battle. Drommlin was no where to be seen. The castle was destroyed. Almost all of his companions had faded into the realm of the afterlife. He himself was sporting several open wounds and a disfigured face, which he hid underneath his now battle-stained cloak at all times. Blood ran down his cloak, but he didn't care. The enemy would soon have the triforce, if they didn't already, and the end was nigh.
"I say..." Leth rasped, "We flee for our lives. Leave this cursed land. We have no hope for victory. If we wish to live, the only option is to run far, far away."
Leth pondered his words for a moment.
"However... that would not be honorable. To truly fulfill our inevitable deaths, we should -" but at that moment he was overcome with a wracking cough that shook his whole frame. He doubled over and spat out a gob of blood.
He slowly regained his composure.
"Heh... guess my end isn't too far off now. Though that's no surprise." He turned to Dogura.
"Well. You've won. Congratulations. When we most needed him, the Hero of Time did not show up... that was ever our fated downfall. Our entire future has always hung on the success of this one individual... and he failed us. Very well. I will leave and live out the rest of my days in cowardly misery."
Leth then began his slow descent down from the rampart stairs, towards the ransacked castle town below. But as he was walking, he was suddenly overcome by another seizure-like cough, and he misplaced his foot, causing him to tumble all the way down to the cobblestone ground below.
He hit with a sickening thud, and it became apparent that he had to be dead.
But he wasn't.
He sat there, moaning in extreme pain, most of his bones broken. "Do the gods... really hate me... this much?" He managed to gasp out. "Please... someone end this for me..."

"This is a nightmare...I just know it...."
" A nightmare you will not awaken from. "
"How...has everyone just fled? Why is there no one else here to try and fight?"
"The Sages have all died or fled, The Seven Stars all perished at the beginning of the conflict...and I know not if any Golden Ones still remain...The Hero has not prevailed in the end...we are likely all that remains..."
A pair of men descended a nearby flight of stairs, the old man Gendo and Jack, observing the people gathered around. "More survivors...I can honestly say I'm surprised." Jack claimed as he approached the group slowly.

With disdainful gaze Azador looked down upon the castle town.
The flames of war had spread as far as the eye could see. But his body didn't seem to be scarred by the rampage that was now tearing the capital apart.
None of his blood spilled, not a single cloth had been torn from his purple cape.
He has been hiding up high in clock tower when the battle began.
For the moment he was safe.
"So this is all the power, the people chosen by the gods can muster!? what an insult!"
His teeth clenched with anger he scorned both the invader and the invaded, upon the tower's roof.
"Here I had hoped that the land of Hyrule could teach me a thing or two, about the coming age. But alas even this society is rotten to the core... !”
"Now now... Azador... that isn't entirely true, we did have some fun with the mercenary folk now didn't we?” Another figure joined Azador from the back. The curious nobleman dressed in red, known as Edward to the general public. Kind and positive even in a situation such as this. His eyes did not show the anger that Azador did.
"True enough, but we have people waiting back home.
If I had time to waste frolicking with lowlives I wouldn't have travelled this far Edward! I had mission! I failed to complete it! I have learned absolutely nothing from this place!" He had turned to his friend with a scowl. But Edward was used to his Azador’s tempers and could understand his worries, more than anyone else.
Azador continued.
“To think Kaluuk is still roaming these lands makes my blood boil! Thrice I had him cornered and thrice he got away!”
“You mustn’t let yourself to be so easily provoked; you do know Kaluuk enjoys that.” Edward calmly replied. “The fact is Azador those three times he had anticipated you. It’s like playing chess against someone who thinks three turns ahead of you. When you have his king cornered he already knew you would do so and turns the table around in his favour. “
“… for once your allusions are correct. But that doesn’t mean I just should let him go, his information is far too important to me!” Still agitated Azador turned his gaze to the city once more.
Edward pondered for a moment before replying, he let Azador to becalm himself.
“Regarding….the Red Shield?... ”
Azador responded with a nod.
“I want to know what it means… the red that will bring in the new age….. I wish to see it”
The mage stretched his hand out to the town alight below him.
“But perhaps I am beholding it as I speak….”
OOC: I think it's such a shame that we have allowed such a concept to go to waste. I look forward to the day Hyrule adventures resurfaces with a new start.

OOC: I think it's such a shame that we have allowed such a concept to go to waste. I look forward to the day Hyrule adventures resurfaces with a new start.
OOC: Working on it, sorry it's taking as long as it is. And sorry this reply has taken as long as it has.
IC: Nogare faced Dogura solemnly, eyes worn. He gripped Belegcam like a walking stick, and leaned against it like an old man. "So this is how it ends, then... the end of the world as we know it, where friend betrays friend, and a new world replaces it, of corruption and self-profit. I trusted you, Dogura Shadowclaw. My father is dead, the adventurers who stood in the Hero of time's place are dead or dying, the world is a thrall to your master's whims, and you come before me and ask for surrender. I thought you knew me better..."
Nogare straightened himself, prepared for the worst to happen at any instant. "The castle is yours, along with all within it. There's no fighting that now. And I see in your expression that you won't stop there. you won't stop there, I think. No, you'll wait until we're all dead or enthralled before we have a chance to regroup. I'm sorry it had to be this way..."
He turend to face Leth. he knelt next to the wounded ranger, and closed his eyes. Din, Nayru, Farore. Fierce Deity if you hear this prayer. Let this day not pass without hope. Be this your design or be it not, I ask for the balance of the world. Heal this one, if none other, so that there is hope for others who may rally to him. I will exchange my life in return. There is no one who will follow a Blade now. Perhaps one who is more in likeness of the Hero of Hyrule. Let him be healed, goddesses, and let none forget what happened here today.
Successful Favour of the Goddesses
There was a glow, and with a whirl of sand-like magic, mix with a blue snake-like aura and with a wind blowing against his face, Leth's wounds vanished, and the missiles that pierced him vanished into nothingness. Nogare did not thank the goddesses, but nodded with satisfaction that at least some good had come of the day.
"Go, leth. don't forget what happened on this day. The goddesses are with you. The Hero of Hyrule is dead. I tried to be his successor, but I was not strong enough. You will take up the duty to become the next. The goddesses have chosen you. don't fail them. Or those who died."
A tear rolled down Nogare's cheek, but he did not sniff, or make any expression other than that of determination and acceptance.
He then returned his gaze to Dogura, and brandished Belegecam. "I do not fear you, your monsters, or death, old friend, and thrall of Ganon. Fight me, man to man, call your warriors off, until our duel is concluded. I wish for you to give Leth and the survivors a chance to escape." He then changed his expression to a dark smirk. "wouldn't want to make complete domination too easy, now, would we?"
He stood at the ready. The fires of war blew against Nogare's cape, as he stood in an offensive fighting stance. And so the son of Grayblade faced his demons, his death, and was in that moment what he always hoped to be; a hero.
OOC: Hopefully you guys reply some more to this. I expect the replies will come more frequently. Let's just see where this goes . This is not good-bye to Hyrule Adventure. Accept this as only the beginning.

OoC: I may be VERY slow to post replies, old chums, but I will when I can.
Upon the ruined rooftops of the homes, a tattered cloak flapped in the wind, like a banner of a long-forgotten kingdom. Beneath it, untouched robes of ebony seamed to billow as if alive, apart of the man that wore them with pride that could never be tarnished or unseated. Sovelis Magelion Li'ano Liadon, A man few had not heard of, looked across the desolate scene of the city that had once been the crown jewel of Hyrule. His long-steamed pipe sat clenched between his teeth, a small wisp of smoke giving away the fact that it was somehow still lit.
He leapt from the roof, landing near the small group of heroes and adventures that still fought to hold back the tide of death and destruction. They fought to buy every second that they could for the others to escape. Sovelis had been apart of the fighting, his sword coated in gore and blood from the vile creatures and evil that had the unfortunate fate of crossing paths with The Tempest. At one point, he would have fought with the dark, but no more. He had freed himself of the demon that had tormented him for nearly half a century. He was truly a Vassal of Light again, no longer a Harbinger of Death.
"I say we fight. I will not fail to do what is right again. Even if you all must escape and I remain as the last to fight against the Horde, I will not falter." He raised his sword in the air and shouted, the pipe falling to the cobblestone below. The magnificent blade shone even in its dirty and battle-stained state as he uttered what would be his last battlecry.
"For the Glory of Hyrule! FOR THE GLORY OF THE GODDESSES WE WILL NOT STOP UNTIL THE DAY IS OURS!!!"

OoC: No internet at my house, but I have a local spot to get online. I might be slow, though.
IC: No pain, no hell, nothing in this world can keep him down. His sword showed the heavy signs of breaking. Luu's power was weakening over keeping the blade held together. Any more rough blows, and even his own power will waver. He looked at his hidden left arm. Blood was flowing from his hand, and near the base of his elbow, the cloth showing few signs of ripping. At least one secret will be safe. But how long can he last? Then he laughed. "Why should I worry? I can die over and over. The fates gave this gift to me. And they seem bent on making me suffer." He turned to see Luu staring at something. Zach turned in the same direction, and saw the two people talking. One looked to be a samurai, and the other was a warrior, perhaps friends? He wanted to approach, but Zach was nothing more that a mirage. Thats how he should have been, like Luu. He shook his head. He slowly approached the two men, wounded. "I may be nobody, to this world, to it's people, but even I have to stand in your way." Zach pointed his sword to the samurai. "My name is Zach Nightt, and by my honor, I'll defend the people from darkness." His will alone was broken. But he had spirit left in his heart. As long as that much remained, he'll find the strength again. He was no mach for the combat that would soon start, but even if his dumb acts gave these people courage, he'll be fine.
All he could do now, was give hope to the warriors left fighting. Even if his body fell, his spirit would be reborn, no matter how weakened he would be, Zach was going to live on. "I'll see you soon....Luu..." whispered Zach, as he faced his new foe dead on.

Folding the paper and tucking it under his arm, Sovelis lit his pipe, pondering the news. So there was some sort of attack. "Parapa... been forever since I was out in the desert. to damn hot and too much sand for my tastes. I'll stick to the forests and fields." The red cloaked mage blew a ring of smoke into the air, leaning against the corner of the nearest shop. He had been out of the loop in the happenings and adventures that unfolded in the lands of Hyrule for quiet sometime. The Tempest had been absorbed in his research and had paid little heed to the outside world until a few days ago. And it showed. The man was significantly paler than he had been before and was sporting a scruffy patch of chin hair, but then again, adventurers tend to get allot of sun, and mingle with the townsfolk. The joys of having a home far away from the bustle of the Castle Town.
