It was midweek; the year was drawing closer and closer to its winter. There was a chill in the air. The day was in its start; the sun had been up for an hour or two. Some people were buying food from vendors and enjoying a bit of a brunch. Others carried around things they had purchased for their day to day lives. It wasn't uncommon to see every minute or so some new citizen with a bundle of clothes that would better suit them for the oncoming lower temperatures.

Simon Grendel was back in North Castle, for the first time in the last two months. He'd been down in the South for some time, the last he'd heard of the main advancement party was that Saria Town had been reached by an investigation party. The initial reports were that it seemed empty. What happened to those who lived there? Had they fled?

Simon had seen many things in the South. He'd fought many beasts in many battles. He was looking forward to some relaxation in the relatively safe North. He was looking forward to seeing Orpheous, and checking in on his friend Thealter. Goddesses only knew what that thief was up to now. Not to mention Simon's other contacts in the North.

There were street musicians out as well. Simon would stop by and listen to one every once and a while, and would give them a few rupees in the name of charity. These mostly consisted of Hylians, with a strange Deku fellow and a Sheikahn as well. Then, he saw a Zora musician playing on a flute. Something about the stranger in the street inquired him, so he sat back and watched the Zora play, standing far away to not draw his attention, leaning against a building. His short, brown hair bristling in the fresh breeze.

IC: It was colder than Roozin was dressed for, and he had just found a good spot to start playing. The spot was a bit farther away from the other performers but on the same street. Roozin had been playing on his flute for about two hours. He had a early start to his day in hopes to earn some extra rupees but to no avail; it had been a slow day, his hope of being able to put himself up in a room for the night was starting to fade and he was starting to feel slightly less enthusiastic about his recent life choices.

OOC: Here's a link to a song similar to one that Roozin would be playing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etpQQU_TbdQ

"You played rather well," Simon praised, approaching the Zora, finally removing himself from his spot on the wall. "You seem a bit sharper than some of the other preformers I've seen around here," he added, lowering his voice a bit as to not insult the other street musicians that may have been within earshot. "I've met a bard or two during my travels; from what I'm aware, it takes rigorous training. I take it that you were trained in the musical craft, based on how skilled you are?" His smile was warm and responive.

He shook his head a second in foolishness. "Silly me, forgot to introduce myself. I'm Simon Grendel." He extended his hand, offering to shake with the Zora. Simon's sharp, hazel eyes shone with compansionship.

Roozin lowers his flute and smiles at the stranger who approached him "thank you" roozin says with a smile. he walks forward and shakes Simons hand "i always love to hear that my work is appreciated, oh my name is Roozin by the way." Roozin gazes down at the flute in his hand "yes i was trained for a few years, but now i'm just traveling and playing my music" Roozin says with a smile. "well i glad someone likes my music" Roozin down at my empty flute case and sighs, trying to figure out what your going to do for the night if the trend persists.

Lya, a young twenties Sheikah, walked through Castle Town in search for anyone who was needed her assistance. Her allegiances were to the highest bidder. Her long straight crimson hair flowed down to the small of her back. Her pointed ears came out of her hair. She had her mouth and nose covered and all you could see were her blood red eyes. She scouted out the immediate area. She noticed how all the people who passed stared at her. She knew it was because of her hair. She was out casted there for the color.

She saw a Zora playing a flute and another young man talking to him. The Zora was very talented, by means that she had not seen in her days. Many people looked at her with confusion. She was not with anyone in the Royal Family.

She wore her peoples crest upon her chest, and the usual suit that her people wore. Her suit was black with her feet it wraps, with her big toe separate from the rest. It made it easier for her to climb. Her hands were wrapped as well. The crest was placed one a small grey vest.

Her eyes scanned the square hoping that someone would ask for her assistance. Waiting for someone to ask she found a wall and stood, leaning against it. She made sure she had an eye on everyone making sure that no one would be able to sneak up on her.

Simon smiled at the Zora hopefully. "I'm sure something will find a way to work out," he noted. Without saying anything else, he walked over and placed a red rupee in the empty case softly, worth the wealth of twenty green rupees. It was definitely enough to live off of living a minimalist life for at least five days. He looks back up and smiles at the Zora. "If you don't mind though, I think I'd like to listen some more, that is, next time your ready to play." Simon stood nearby the Zora, not bothering to explain his donation. "It's nice to meet you, Roozin, by the way. It really is lovely music."

As he stood, he saw that Sheikahn. She was female and young, too. She looked disgruntled maybe, in the way she was carrying herself. It was her hair that caught his eye. It was uncommon for a Sheikah to have red hair. Then again, there was that boy, but he was a Gerudo hybrid.

Also, that traditional Sheikahn garb. Nobody wore clothing like that since the Imprisoning War, at least not in public. Those Sheikahn vestments were always reserved, even in the olden days, strictly for Sheikahn who were on the job and attempting to either be stealthy or conceal their identity. It wouldn't be akin to seeing a known thief walking around with their lock picking set in plain view. It was honestly quite startling. Simon, however, rather than be startled, chose not to stair, and instead made sure to keep the Sheikahn in his peripheral vision.

Lya kept her eyes open to anyone who seemed curious about inquiring about her services. She noticed the man talking to the Zora look at her for a moment and then look away as so not to stare at her. Maybe he may need some assistance with something, she thought. She took a chance and pushed off the wall she was leaning against and walked over to him. "Excuse me sir, but is there any thing I may assist you with", she said and as she did, she bowed low, showing that she was honest in her offer.

IC: Roozin looks into his case and sees the donation left by Simon and is overwhelmed by it. Roozin thinks to himself "oh wow this is more than I've made in the last three days. "t-thank so much ill be able to live of this for some time" he says to Simon. "i would love to play for you my friend" Roozin says confidently feeling refreshed and with a slight boost in ego from the sportive comments made by Simon. he quickly snatches up the rupee from the case and pockets it.

just before he starts to play a woman approaches Simon and asks if he needs assistance. Roozin doesn't quite understand whats going on, weather they know each other or maybe they planned to meet. after a moment of pondering he decides its none of his business really and begins to play like he told Simon he would.

Simon smiled as the Zora thanked him and then turned to look at the approaching Sheikahn. Before he could say anything, she had already made her offer. Now she was bowing. Simon bit his lip trying not to grin. He was successful, but he'd probably have to treat his lip later. By the time he could gather his words to say, Roozin had already begun to play his new song.

"Please, I am no leader of men. I'd hate to see such a proud warrior bow before the likes of a lowly scribe. You're a Sheikahn, are you not? It's clear that you value your heritage based on your mannerisms and clothes. Yet, for such a traditional Sheikahn, bowing before anybody but your masters or employers in such a manner is something they'd rather lick boots than do. So please, you don't have to bow to me," he began, rather verbosely. Perhaps Orpheous was teaching him too many bad habits such as being loquacious.

"If you must call me something, call me Simon, for it is my birth name. I, personally do not at this time require assistance. However, as it happens, I'm currently investigating the ongoings in the South with some other adventurers. Perhaps when I return back through that fateful pass, you might be accompanying me. After all, I hear that the Sheikahn ancestral home isn't here in the North. Of course, most Sheikahns say it isn't in the South either. But, I'm sure where ever it is, you'd like to see it." He spoke excitingly, trying to coax up ideas of her motherland within that heart that he sensed to perhaps be indifferent, in some regards, to the current cause of the crown. Then he proceeded to ramble.

"Now, if you had been on a voyage with my master Orpheous, I heard he found some Sheikahn ruins at see, sailing with a captain who was a Zora nonetheless," Simon finished, smiling at her. "The day is young, listen to his musician. Isn't he something?" admired the scribe, watching the Zora play his flute in such ways that he had never heard before.

Lya ponders this for a moment. This man seemed very sincere, she took a chance hoping to help someone and now she has been offered to look at some old ruins. I may stay near this man, she thought. She would give anything to be able to see her mothers grave again, and this was her chance to go home for a short while and finally say good bye.

"If you dont mind Simon, i would like to accomany you for a while. I understand you said you do not need any service at the moment, but I would be glad to help you none the less. i shall be with you until you leave for the south. It is my gift to you and i feel as though this Zoras playing has brought this upon me.," she said. She had had dreams before this day and her brain continued to go to the man in the dream. The setting was right and everything. She knew this was were she should be. She was not about to let this chance slip. Even if she had to work for this scribe for some time, she would not care.

She knew this would be her chance to see her mother one last time, and possibly accomplish her mothers life long dream.

"Well, I guess if you want to follow me, I can't really say no," Simon replied, listening to the Zora's song. "Though, I suppose I'd find something to accomplish while I'm here in the North. Where are you staying right now? If you want, I'm sure that the People's Front could pay for your lodgings or even find a spot to put you up in," Simon offered. He leaned back on the wall and listened to the Zora play while he waited for his answer.

OoC: The most popular inn in town is Traveler's Hostile. If you want to room up in another inn, I think you could make up any given reasonable name, I don't think there is another other established in here. Then again, she could be living with her relatives, or have her own hovel, apartment, home or estate. Or she could be a street dweller, it's all up to you. Sorry the post is short, couldn't think of what else to say.

She smiled under her face wrap and said, "I have my own place to stay. It belonged to my mother. She left it for me when she died. It was one of the few things that she had to give. Is there a place you are staying? If not you are welcome to stay with me." The Zora playing put her in good spirits for the day and she had high hopes for the future. She did not have much to give, but she gave the Zora a green Rupee to show that she enjoyed his music.

Ooc: I don't have much to say either. She has her own apartment near the town square so that's where she stays.

OOC: Then allow me to drum up some content :D

IC:

A cloaked stranger walked along the cobblestone path, humming silently to herself as she walked. She moved with a cheerful sway that ebbed and flowed with the song she was humming. She was covered head to toe; in fact, it was only her female figure that could give away hints as to her gender. Brown cloths covered her body, all the way down to her boots, which while made of expensive Rope-hide material, were quite worn out. It looked as if she'd walked miles in them- they would certainly tell tales if they could talk. She had a cloth pulled over her mouth, and a hood over her head. Her eyes were supernaturally soft, questionably so. Anyone she locked eyes with felt immediately cozy inside, and an air of rejuvenation washed over them.

She meandered through the people who were out so early. While not quite rush-hour crowds, there were still plenty of people on the street, one of whom was a traveling bard. She seized her humming, and stopped in the street to listen to the flutist play for the small crowd around him. She smiled at the Zora- she had become most fond of the Zora kind in her travels, and decided to stop and listen to the music. She wandered over to the bard, and took a seated position on her knees, pressing her hands into her lap. She listened silently, and closed her eyes, allowing herself to drift away in the music that filled the air. At the end of the song, she giggled and clapped her hands.

"Well done, Sir Bard. I think you've earned this." She placed an purple rupee in the box, and her eyes smiled for her. "I haven't heard anyone play a flute like that since... Since that samurai fellow I met so many years ago."

She let her mind drift back to that time...
She awoke from her slumber in the dead of night. Everyone on the boat was asleep; and yet her super-sensitive hearing picked up the faint echo of a flute somewhere else on the ship. She sat in silence as the boat rocked, and creaked. Everyone moment of silence that the ship offered, the air was full with music.

She wandered out of her room as silently as the creaky floorboards would allow, and moved quietly down the hallways of the vessel, moving closer and closer to the notes floating in the air. She would occasionally take a wrong turn, and find herself moving away from the music, and had to double back to put herself on the right path.

Finally, she found herself at a peculiar doorway. She knew what lay on the other side, but she couldn't quite make sense of it. She slowly pressed her head against the door. It was the samurai's room. The man was a hired sword, and an acquaintance of the captain. They were sailing to a possibly hostile island in search of a treasure map. He was a man with a withered, but rough face. He rarely showed signs of humanity, and donned a scowl at almost every meal.

How could a man like that... Be so gifted in an art that requires so much passion? She listened as the man played for hours before wandering back to bed. She never forgot those somber notes however- it was the last time any of them had seen him...
She snapped back to reality, and clapped lightly for the musician. "Bravo, sir, Bravo! Do you perhaps travel? I may know someone looking to hire a bard!" She lied. She knew that a bard wasn't necessary for the kind of work she did. But his empty case broke her heart, and she had riches to spare.

OOC: Ahhh I missed writing :)

Lya looked at the new comer with shock at the money she had. She had never seen someone with that much money. The girl seemed rather happy and cheerful. Lya herself could not remember a time when she felt that way. "Ma'am may i acquire your name? You seem well traveled and rather kind, where are you from," Lya asked. She had never meet someone so kind and gentle since her mother. She immediately attached to this girl without knowing anything about her.

Her red eyes gleamed at the girl with pure curiosity. Her happiness was contagious and she had not felt this since the last few days with her mother. A primal urge to stay with this girl came over her, and she could not control the tears that came to her eyes. Under the cloth around her face she smiled, and she felt a new happiness in her life that she had not felt in many years. She moved her head so that her hair was hiding her face, and let her eyes clear.

She cleared her throat and said, "Forgive me, I forgot to tell you my name. I am Lya, the last of my family." She hoped that her eyes showed the kindness she felt.

Red Spirit Wolf wrote:"Ma'am may i acquire your name?"

The cloaked woman's head turned towards the inquiry. Her soft eyes fell upon a young woman. My name already? Sheesh, and I was suppose to lay low.
Red Spirit Wolf wrote:"You seem well traveled and rather kind, where are you from?"
Where are you from where folks forego the courtesy of introducing themselves before asking one's name? She thought as she eyed the woman. What a nasty thought to have... Where did that come from? She thought to herself, surprised at her own snappiness. After several moments of silence, she responded, "I sense no malice in you, nor anyone nearby... So I feel safe telling you my real name." Her voice was smooth as silk, and soft as a cloud. Something was unnaturally soothing about the woman, as her very existence seemed to sooth the soul.

"My name is Lilly Willowfrost, of the Overwatch."

She lowered her hood, revealing her face.
A few passersby stopped and gasped.
"Whoa! Would you look at that!" A woman cried out in the crowd.
An older man with a hunched posture stepped forward with the aid of a Deku-wood cane. He adjusted the glasses on the tip of his nose for a closer look. "Why... It really is... I've never seen one before in all my years of travel!" He exclaimed with an astonished tone in his voice. "And I've seen a lot of things! Ho ho ho!"

Lilly smiled at the old man. She looked back to Lya. Lilly's face was perfectly woven of the Goddesses, the light shimmering off of her beautiful golden locks.

The old man turned around, and began to walk back into the crowd, when Lilly moved towards him, and placed a hand on his back. It was so sudden, it took the old man by surprise. "Wha- What! What are you doing? Be careful with muh back!" He cried out.

"Easy... I can see that you've led an honest and difficult life," Lilly spoke softly. "Live the remainder free of pain." Her hand began to glow with a golden swirling mist, and a cloak of light surrounded the old man. When the light faded, the man stood upright, and looked around in wonder. "My back... My back is healed..." He turned around, and eyed Lilly, a single tear running down his wrinkled cheek.

"So that..." He looked down at his cane, and dropped it in the dirt.

"So that is the power of a Great Fairy..."

Lilly placed her hood back over head, and nodded at the man. He jumped up and down a couple of times in his bliss, and clasped his hands together. "Thank you, Great Fairy... Goddesses bless you."

"And you", she responded.

"A miracle!" A man cried out.
"An honest to Goddesses, miracle we just witnessed, people!"

Above the commotion, Lya spoke:
Red Spirit Wolf wrote:"Forgive me, I forgot to tell you my name. I am Lya, the last of my family.
Lilly closed her eyes. "I'm sorry to hear that, Lya. If you'd like to talk about it, I'm here for you." She sighed. "However, I'm afraid it would have to wait. I can't remain here for long, now that word is spreading of a Great Fairy performing miracles in town." She giggled.

"I sense that you have a wholly good heart, Lya. Should you ever wish to speak with me about your family, or should you ever need an illness cured, find me in New Peaktop. Knock on the door of the abandoned shack underneath the giant oak-tree east of town."

She glanced around nervously. The crowd had disappeared. They'd be back soon with too many sick to cure. "I've got about five minutes. Mister Zora, I would love to hear more of your music."

OOC: I would have written more, but I got work early tomorrow :P

God I sure can make a long-winded post.
