Lady Rose led the way into the tavern. She didn't sense Veran anywhere in the tavern. "Damn it, she's not here," she said. Then she saw a person in a cloak. "Do you think we should go check him out?"

Yes, if it is Veran we might have trouble fighting her here.

Cloud's eyes turned to the piercing ones that belonged to the Apocalypse.

It's like she's not there. I try to see into her soul but there is nothing there.

"If it was Veran, I'd take the fight outside," Lady Rose said. "I'm not about to hurt innocent people to get to her. And she probably doesn't even have a soul anymore. Well, come on. Let's go have a chat with that guy in the cloak."

She led the way over to the bar. She sat down beside the cloaked figure and said, "Hello."

"Hello," the figure responded with clacking sound; a sound often made when a Stalfos spoke. "Here, I'll buy you a victory drink."

"Shut your bony mouth," Lady Rose snapped. "Where's my sister?"

The Stalfos laughed. "You've already been told. She's in her favorite setting."

"Don't toy with me. Where is she?"

"You haven't seen her skin, have you?" The Stalfos slowly puts his hand into his cloak, but Lady Rose doesn't seem to notice. You can be sure that whatever he pulls out isn't going to good for Lady Rose.

Cloud reached for his bow and aimed an arrow at the Stalfos's head. He wasn't sure if Lady Rose was in danger, but you can never be to careful. He made his way over behind the stalfos and waited for it to do something.

I wonder what a stafose would look like with an arrow in its head. thought Cloud, he had the eelment of surprise right now, and he did not intend to lose it.

The Stalfos slowly draws out a dagger, careful not to make any noise. This action is hidden from Lady Rose, but Cloud can easily see it happening.

OOC: I hope you've been drawing back. You're going to need a lot of force to shoot off the head at close range.

Cloud let go of the arrow. it plunged into the stalfoses head but didn't kill it yet. Cloud jumped back and fired 5 more arrows.

Lady Rose! Get your boomerang!

Lady Rose finally figued out that the Stalfos was about to (try to) kill her. In one quick motion she drew her dagger and sliced off the Stalfos's head. The cloak fell limp and the bones clattered as they fell.

OOC: Okay, now let's test your memory. If you need to, go back to Hyrule Field (f3) and follow through until you get back here and see if you can make a guess at where Veran is hiding.
