It's not like you can't go into a dungeon and find no Rupees whatsoever. You can find them while exploring, too. TWW has PLENTY of islands to look. If anything, travelling across the Great Sea by boat takes even longer than looking for Rupees.

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Zoratunic

Yeah, but there's no dungeons or anything to get rupees while your working on the Triforce charts, so I'm forced to condemm the legendary Master Sword, which should be killing evil monsters, to cut the grass.

Commodore Axilon

And going around rupee hunting seems completely unnecessary for something you have to do to forward the plot. I have no problem with treasure hunting to get enough money for some kind of side-quest or something, but when it's mandatory it's a little bit frustrating.

DW

The thing is though, when I get to that point in the game, I get a chart, dechiper it, and go island to island on the way, getting heart pieces and exploring. Not to mention all the treasure you can haul up. That's planty of rupees right there. Besides, the game has to have something challenging, right?

some people dont have time to spend hours looking for rupees... im one of those people.

1. You don't spend hours looking for Rupees unless you try finding them with the TV turned off.
2. I assmue that, because you have sooooo little time to play the game, you rush through it and never take the time to enjoy the scenery or do sidequests. I mean, you are so busy each day that you are lucky for every spare minute you can get.
3. Like I said before, by just playing the game, you should get more than enough Rupees.

I'd recommend turning the TV screen on when playing. Then you'll see that with quite a few charts comes the opportunity to get lots of Rupees. I know that at least Link's Cabana and the cave on Outset are filled with treasure. Not to mention that by the time you have to decipher the maps, you should already have enough to decipher quite a few charts.

I think what Zoratunic was trying to say was, he doesn't want to turn on the game and think, "Oh boy, more rupees to find. Won't this be fun?" It makes you want to not really play the game anymore. I'm one of those people like Sess, too. There's parts in certain games that are boring for a long time, so I rarely play it. I mean, I understand if Tingle wants to charge you money for deciphering maps, but don't you think over 300 is kind of pushing it?

People who don't like Tingle because of the amounts of money he charges are too stupid to play a video game anyway, so who cares what they have to say? I mean if they're not playing it the way I do, they must be doing something wrong, right?

Fixed for you.

Vaati

Since when is someone "too stupid to play a videogame"? There's tons of ways to play videogames, not just the way you play it.

About collecting rupees:

Did it ever occur to you that some of us are lazy, and require instant gratification? :P

The same people that would cook something in a microwave instead of an over because its faster?  ;D

My real Poison team in BW2. They all have perfect natures and EV's. I went the extra distance and bred the right IV's into them. Come at me bro.

LadyNintendo

I think he was being sarcastic.

Anyway, everyone is free to play a gmae the way he or she wants, but disliking a character just because you don't like the part of the gameplay he/she is connected too is, to say the least, sad.

I still think though that you are a so-called "rusher" if you ever have money problems in TLOZ games.

Zelda Veteran

Yeah, even if I've already seen a certain place, you never know what else you might find. That makes it easier to find the rupees you're looking for. I think WW had the one of the largest overworlds :-[ TP had a lot of places to explore, but more NPC's and towns would have been appreciated.

Thank You Vaati for summing up what I was trying to say.

And yes, instant gratification is fun. :)

And TP was the only LOZ game where I have had extra rupees. Guess there wansn't enough side quests.

MatthewThief

:P i had this same stupid argument back on zelda blog about how im lazy cause i couldnt find rupees.

some people have a life  8) and dont want to waste all their time looking for rupees, like me

I don't see why. He's the one that charges all that money sending you on the Great Rupee Hunt 'XX™.
