Yes, there are dedicated servers to members who pay Jagex five dollars a month for extra content.

Yeah, there's full chat, trading items, friend lists.  It's very interactive.

Just a note.  If anyone does feel like starting, I can get them started with basic level armor and weapons.

Also, I can smith some steel stuff for them if they want. I need to work on fletching, so if anybody wants to work on archery, I'll make loads of arrows for them.

This is an announcement to any Runescape Members who haven't done the Watchtower quest yet; Me and Rabies are going to do it tomorrow, so if you haven't done it and have the skills to complete it (check in your journal) PM Rabies for a list of items you'll need and the meeting spot and time.
