I think down in mio which is close to a town I live in, they're checking the bridge to be sure it don't go down hill, cause, for the past few days I've droven by there, there has been people working on it, so yeah, they might be checking other bridges to make sure that another bridge don't fall down.

Er, it's not just that easy to say HAY GAIS LETS REBUILD A BRIDGE... I mean, you need to plan it out and break the traffic and stuff, so it's not like you can just say "the bridge is dead, go somewhere else to go to work today, sir, we'll have it done in a few hours."

Oh yeah, in other news; the San Jacinto monument's elevator is working after 5 weeks of electrical failure!

I can't stand roadwork. US-395 here in the Reno/Sparks area is horrible about that. They do all this "work," but it's never any better. Traffic is terrible, and the roads are confusing.

As for the bridge in question, I'm not sure what caused it to collapse. The bridge isn't that old (40-something isn't too old for a road bridge), but corrosion and stress is understandable. I guess we'll just have to wait for them to officially release the reason.

As for Barry Bonds, sure, he might very well be shooting up steroids. They might make the ball you hit fly out of the park, but steroids don't enable you to see the ball and hit it every time it's thrown to you.

The bridge design that collapsed had actually been disused in the UK. Not sure if it was foresight through testing, or that it spoiled the look of the countryside...
