I have never seen Links story from SC anywhere on this site, or any other site :o This kind of bothers me. Since he has a story of his own in the game. I don't really know if it deserves to be acknowledged as part of the Zelda's though.. What do you guys think?

Btw. Does anyone have the story on a document or know a site where it's written down?

MatthewThief

i dont know what it is  :-\ i like his dark blue tunic btw

Soul Caliber 2 wasn't made by Nintendo, thus it isn't considered Canon to any degree. Also, this doesn't really have much to do with General Zelda discussion, so I think I'll move this over to the General Discussion board.

Hi no Seijin

Besides, wasn't Link only in the GameCube version of the game?

I haven't played the gamecube version, so I couldn't tell ya...

[ACK! ANOTHER Me2 post! *is heavily considering another warning...*]

Soul Calibur 2, like the CD-I games(Though much, much, much better) is not considered canon by fans, because there are many things that leave plotholes, or contradictions.

darkphantomime

Did I mention that neither were made by Nintendo?

Gamefreak

Yes, you did.  Another reason that they aren't treated as canon.

Not that I care too much, seeing as how I'm not a timeline enthusiast, but doesn't the Zelda series leave contradictions on its own?

It probably does.  I'm not much of a timeline enthusiast either, but I'm starting to work on it.

Hmm... I'll sum this up as best I can. I have the game, and the story behind why he's there may indeed piss you off:

Hyrule's peaceful ways were shattered by many disasters.

Turns out a magician
(most likely Ganondorf, seeing as how the ugly warlock uses magic) was to blame for these calamities.

Link fought the evil back, and restored light to the land.

It turns out that the magician was actually being controlled by an evil sword called soul edge, which existed in another world.

Furthermore, fragments of Soul edge are gathering in this other world. Knowing that the resurrection of the evil blade must be prevented at all costs, Link decided to travel to this other world, and stop the evil for good.

Link grabbed his ocarina, sword, and shield, and set off on a secret journey to seal away the evil once and for all.

That is not a direct quote, but I didn't feel like running back and forth from my computer to my room typing it all word for word.  ;)

Hope that helped. I don't like the idea that Ganondorf was a puppet to a sword though ::)

My real Poison team in BW2. They all have perfect natures and EV's. I went the extra distance and bred the right IV's into them. Come at me bro.
