New Help Wanted

Okay folks, now that we have a release date I'm ready to post this job offer. I am looking for around 3 good writers who plan to get Wii and Twilight Princess on the day they come out (11/19/06) and are willing to write content for the site.

Now, I don't mean actually writing game guides or anything like that, but something a little different--a player's journal.

What that means is, at least once every two days (no more than twice a day) you'd basically blog (in posts on the front page of this site) about your gaming session with Twilight Princess in a kinda walkthrough like format, where you'd note where you are what you did, any hard puzzles you got around, any heart pieces or new things you found, etc. Basically your creating a half-blog-half-walkthrough hybrid.

As such, I need up to three dedicated gamers who plan to have the Wii at launch or a few days afterward (no later than a week) who are interested in keeping a player's journal.

What do you get out of it, besides exposure on the front page? Those that I choose who participate and keep to writing journals once every two days and continue to do so until they complete the game will get something as a token of my appreciation (haven't decided yet, but it will be good, maybe a copy of PH on me).

Wii release date has been announced: 19 november

The price will be 250$ for the console with everything you need to get started. You also get the game: Wii sports with it. A Wii game will cost 50$, a NES game 5$, Snes 8$ and N64$. Nothing has been said about Megadrive or other consoles.

US gets it first, then Japan. Nothing has been said about Europe so far. I hope they don't 'pull a Sony'.

Nintendo expects to ship 4million (yes your read that right) consoles worldwide by the end of the year.

Furthermore Square-Enix has announced they will release a sequel to Final Fantasy 12 on the DS. I am almost sure they will release 13 on the Wii if the Wii is a succes. Seems like Square is really turning to a Nintendo loving company again (or $$$ loving  ).

As you most likely read in my most recent comments, Im giving up my Birthday, and my christmas, to get the Nintendo Wii, along with two controllers, a memory card, Twilight Princess, and Super smash bros. Brawl, opening day! Im not sure if i'll get smash bros brawl, if its not a launch title(which it oughta be) and if I'm what you would concider a "dedicated gamer" Then I would be happy to. What I actually might do, is have a friend keep a log on what I do while i play. We'll see how it unfolds though. Anyways I'd be happy to give it a go. Just say the word jack. :)

edit: - I pre-ordered Twilight Princess at Gamestop a while ago. My mom says she doesent care if she has to stand in line until 4:00 PM, Im getting a Wii. She's a dedicated mom, bless her soul.

Oh good i was going to email you about this. I suggest getting in line wherever quite early though, because I don't think that many Wiis will be available the first day. I plan to be at my local EB at the crack o' dawn.

yes I can help I'm getting both of them the first day they launch I preordered them about two months ago hey wait zv me and you can help each other at points on in the game so that we can make an awsome review so I volunteer to do the review. :)

I've been torturing myself over whether or not to get a Wii and TP at launch for the past two weeks. The main reason for not doing so being that I'm now a college student and can't rely on my parents' funds nearly as much any more. Add to that that I'm the type of person who does not like to take risks, and you've got a recipe for worry without end. :-X

But, I've finally realized that I couldn't live with myself if I chose to not at least try to get a Wii. I'm in the same boat as you, Jack - I haven't pre-ordered anything; I'm going to be camping out in the many hours before launch. However, if I do manage to get myself a copy of Twilight Princess - and if you're still accepting people to do these journals of yours - I'm more than happy to help.

Knowing myself, I'll probably be keeping a journal regardless, just so I can look back in the years to come . . . ;D
