Alright class, settle down, and get out your MS Paint (If you don't have it, try Google, you can probably find a place to download it). Open the sprite sheet I had you all download follow these instructions:
1. Select the box that contains Master Chief, and copy it into a new paint, so you see nothing but that box.
2. Download this image right here:

3. This image has some sample colors for MC. He's so easy for beginners becuase he only has the same color all over, just in a light, medium, and dark shade.
4. Have both the box with MC and the colors open, and I will go over the rest later.

Do we have to use MS Paint?
For right now, yes. It's the best program for learning the ins and outs.
I'll get to part two tommorow, I'm kinda busy this evening.

That's pretty good! Like I said, Part two will be tomorrow.

DW

That position is kinda disturbing for a pink master chief...But can Rabies get a Good Noodle star?

BAD! I was going to go over this later, but I guess I should say it now. Bitmaps look nice, but thier filesizes are HUGE! Also, don't save as JPEG either, it distorts the image. I would go with PNG whenever possible, maybe GIF.
Anyways, here how to recolor.
1. Have both of the windows open that I left off with.
2. Select the ink dropper.
3. Click on the darkest shade of green on MC.
4. select, copy, and paste the color sheet into the same image as MC.
5. Get the ink dropper, and right click on the darkest shade of the color you want, so the the little boxes in the colors area have dark green on top, and the dark color you chose on bottom.
6. Take the eraser, and right click and drag the eraser across the image.
7. The dark greens should change into your dark color.
8. repeat for the other two shades of green.

Now, show me you work class!

Rev Rabies

So did I. I pasted the color sheet into the same Paint window I had my sprite sheet open in, then I used the eyedropper, selected the darkest color I wanted, and used the paint bucket thing to recolor each of the dark areas. Then I did the same with a lighter colors in the light areas.

Anyways, here's some of what I've done!

What, you expect me to say something witty?
