Ive experienced 'writer's block' many a time.  I find that the best way to solve it is to write for the trash can.  That way, whenever you find something awesome to expound upon, it seems like it just came out of nowhere.  Also, whenever I write something really nicely, it never seems right.  Have several people read it over first.  Just because you don't like what you've written doesn't mean that others don't.  I've ruined perfectly good ideas, that way. :P
