Halo 3 or Call of Duty 4?

Which game do you guys think is better? I for one like them both a lot. But I'm going to have to say Call of Duty 4, its more relistic(spelled wrong, too lazy to think).

Well, when one has posted a topic in general discussion, maybe you should post something that, oh i don't know, maybe is ON TOPIC?
anyways, yea, call of duty 4 is so much more better than halo 3. The thing about halo 3 is though that it has awesome graphics, new features, and an amazing story lines. But I still must say Call of Duty 4 is much more awesome.

Didn't you just get both? Isn't it a bit odd that you're making a general assumption before you've had a chance to really have time with either?

Oh well, I don't really care for games now anyway. There are just way too many FPS's on the market, and way too many MMO's as well.

I miss the days where we didn't have to SQUINT to play a fun game (they need to release an add-on for wii so we can have DS games in full size).

Yea, I just got them. But I am more than half way completed with Call of Duty. and I have played my friends version of Halo if you don't remember me saying that somewhere around here. But yea, I'm not too far in my halo file yet, but thats only cause I've played like 10 hours of Call of Duty 4 today. lol

How is CoD 4 better than Halo 3, though?  And where's the "but" statement?  "The thing about Halo 3 is though that is has awesome graphics, new features, and an amazing story lines," but what?  What's keeping Halo from being better than Call of Duty?  Reasons, man, reasons!

Also, JQ has a point.  How can you give a fair judgment if you just got both games and didn't play both of them equally (in terms of completing the game) yet?  It's like skimming through the table of contents in a Harry Potter book and immediately saying you don't like it.

I think I stated that in my first sentence, its more realistic, I like those kind of games better. its usually easier to follow.

Jdog, you're assuming that most of us here have a PS3 AND a 360, AND both of the games. We aren't all spoiled only children.

Honestly, I would have to go with CoD, as every CoD game I've played has outstripped Halo by far. This is simply because Halo has very primitve FPS gameplay, and it's incredibly cheap how overpowered you are. CoD actually makes it useful to be strategical instead of going in guns blazing like in Halo. And if you can't tell, I'm more of a strategical guy than a button masher.

Also, the Halo storyline didn't really appeal to me that much. It seemed like another 'only one can save the world' kind of deal. That kind of annoys me for some reason. I don't mind when it's 'only one group' or 'only one plan' because that require teamwork. However, just being an overpowered juggernaut doesn't appeal to me.

Anyways, I'm not much of an FPS fan.  And when I do play them, I usually only play them on the PC because I like the controls.

That said though, I cannot comprehend what makes Halo such a great series.  It's the same formula for every shooting game.  Shoot x.  X can equal:

A) Aliens
B) Zombies
C)Nazis
B)Terrorists

Yes, I know that Halo has a good story, but I doubt that's why it's one of the most popular games in existence.

Yes, but most of us don't have those games/systems.

... I personally prefer CoD4, though, for the same reasons as Shika. I can't stand just shooting things... I need a nice, unique storyline or at least some strategy.

I also dislike Halo and can stand CoD, so... ;3
