1.) You can change the font size by selecting the text that you want adjusted and clicking the button with the "A" with the vertical line to its right on the toolbar at the top of the post box.
2.) You can change the color of font by selecting the color in the color-changing function.
Here's how you should do it (Note: I replaced the brackets with parentheses; therefore, the glow will be disabled):

Given: (glow=***,2,300)(/glow)

Step 1: (glow=new color here,2,300)(/glow)

Get it now?

It's alright, but let's see if you can get it if I reword it.
On the Post reply dialog box, there's a toolbar that includes the glow button. On the toolbar, there's a button with a vertical line with an A by it. Select  the text (drag the arrow over text to highlight it) that you want to increase in size, and press the button with the line and the A.
Now, if you want to GREATLY increase the font size, increase the amount of the number in these function brackets: (size=2)(/size).
Is this confusing?

You have the color in the wrong place. It's supposed to replace the "red" in the first set of brackets, not the second set. (Example:
(glow=turquoise,2,300)(/glow) )

Besides, you should have the first set of brackets be on the left side of the phrase that you want to glow a certain color and the second set on the right side, having both sets surrounding the phrase, and allowing the glow to take effect.
