I got a package in the mail today, and inside it was something I had forgotten I had even ordered: an Xbox 360 messenger bag. It was part of one of those promotions where you cut out a certain number of seals from cereal boxes or whatever (Pop-Tarts boxes in this case) and send them in to get something cool. I wasn't expecting it for a month or so yet (it said something like "Please allow 60-90 days for delivery"), but I got mine in about a month. Surprisingly, unlike many of the items you get from these kinds of cereal box promotions, it's actually a fairly high-quality item. It's smaller than I expected, but it's actually got enough space inside to put an average-sized game system and a few controllers into. It's very well constructed, too, and it's 100% polyester. Now I have a cool-looking way to carry stuff around!

So ends my tale of pointlessness.

Do you have an XBox 360 which you could carry around? 'Cause otherwise it seems like a waste of perfectly good Pop-Tart...things.

Edit: Apparently (according to this so-called "Wikipedia") that's supposed to be "Xbox 360", you know, with a lowercase b. That is ridiculous. The height of ridiculousness, in fact. I suppose it's pronounced "zbox" too, right "Wikipedia"?

Twilight Wolf

No, I don't have a 360, unfortunately. The bag's not big enough to carry one if I had one, anyways. It's just supposed to be a bag you can use for carrying random stuff around, but you can fit game systems smaller than the original Xbox into it. Not that I'll ever be able to put that particular aspect to use, but it's nice to know I can.

Oh, and you don't need to cut out a bunch of those Pop-Tart seals; you can just cut out one and send it along with $3.99 for shipping. That's what I did.

Indeed.

Now I just need to figure out what I should keep in it...

Oh, and it turns out that if I had paid better attention to the Pop-Tarts box, I would have found out how big it was before I ordered it... I would still have ordered it, though.

Let me guess.  Does it rhyme with Thega Thaturn?

Twilight Wolf

You know, that was a very good guess. That was actually the first thing I put in it to see how much it could hold, hahaha. It fits inside perfectly, too. I don't have much of a reason to drag it around with me everywhere, unfortunately, but it would come in handy if I was to, say, bring it to a friend's house. (If I had any, that is.)

I'm baffled as to why I can't think of anything to keep in it...

How about pr0ns?

The parents would never guess.

Oh man, he could have a little bitty sword and everything!

Even better news, folks. Earlier this evening, my dad said he had a surprise for me. We went out to our van, and he brought out an Xbox. Yes, an Xbox. It used to belong to his friend's son. My dad told me that he was getting a new one, and the since the store he took it to to trade it in wouldn't give him anything for it, I got it. Even better, it also came with a game (the exact title escapes me, but it's a racing game), a carrying bag (better than the one I made this topic about, hahaha), and a screen. I can take this thing on the road with me! The thing was, the disc drive wouldn't open. So I opened it up, and with my dad's help, I figured out the problem: one of the gears in the disc drive was stripped out. So we opened up another disc drive we had, and it just so happens that it had exactly the right size gear in it. So we put the new gear in, closed it all up, and it worked perfectly.

So now I have an Xbox. I'm very happy.

TW, get Knights of the Old Republic and Crimson Skies. They're definitely the best games on the Xbox.

Twilight Wolf

Thanks, Commodore. I'm going to the game store tomorrow (Turns out I need a new controller, yay.), so I'll be on the lookout for those.

If I can, I'd also like to pick up Project Gotham Racing and Halo.
