Do you want to be a surgeon when you grow up?

A veterinarian, actually. A surgeon might be an option, though. Why do you ask? It doesn't seem to be a particularly difficult mod to do. Just a matter of cutting some wires and reconnecting them to another cord. Well, and wrapping them each with electrical tape afterwards.

And thanks, x*Twilight Zelda*x, I'll keep that in mind. My cousin's got Fable, and I know he really likes it, too.

Actually, there was a very funny incident in Halo a few minutes ago. I had some active camouflage on, and I had just killed a few Grunts by smacking them with my assault rifle. I went around a corner and tried to kill an Elite in the same manner, but I didn't manage to kill him... I just showed him that I was there. He started shooting at me, which alerted more Grunts. I fired back. One of the Grunts threw a plasma grenade, but it hit the Elite instead of me, so they both blew up! A happy ending.

Anyhoo...

Jumpy the Jam jumped when Jelly the Jello Jiggled and then (edit 4/19/09: gone) the Preserve Jiggled and Wiggled and Jumped all over yelling "OH MY GOSH WHEEEEEEE"

Did that have a purpose at all? No. Please don't spam up my topic so violently.

You know, I'm honestly wondering whether or not I'm supposed to have an Xbox after all... I've had quite a bit of misfortune with my Xbox stuff. Read on...

1.) The night I got my Xbox was the night I discovered something was wrong with my TV.
2.) The first controller I had was broken (it has a bad cable or something, so if you move the controller at all, the game you were playing will ask you to reconnect the controller).
3.) The copy of Project Gotham Racing I bought doesn't work right.
4.) The "A" button on my "Duke" controller acts funny (I'll use it normally for a while, then it will randomly begin to require excessive pressure for it to react).
5.) I bought another copy of Project Gotham Racing on Saturday, and it didn't work either!
6.) I decided to use the Controller S I bought, only to discover today that it has the same problem my first one had.

Now I'm worried about what will go wrong next....

Didn't you hear TW? PGR isn't supposed to be played. You're just paying to look at the awesome artwork on the cover and disc.

...Okay, honestly, I think it's just the fact that it's Microsoft. They seem to have a problem with faulty equipment. (Vista, the RED RINGS OF DEATH!!!, etc.)

Sometimes the XBox that my dad has doesn't want to load games, either. Not that I play it very much anyways, but you can tell something's wrong if more than one person is having troubles with Microsoft hardware.

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

But... I want to play it. I need to! I just can't believe that both copies I tried don't work... The second one I tried had a noticeable scuff on it when I bought it, though, so that might have been the problem. (It gave me the "Your Xbox can't recognize this disc" message.) But there's no reason at all for the first one to not work, because it was professionally cleaned with a machine at the store where I bought it, and it's no more scratched up than Halo, which works with no problem. I even cleaned the laser inside the Xbox twice: Once with rubbing alcohol when I had it open to fix the disc tray, and again with Windex after I started having issues with PGR.

Oh, and Mags, it's not that my Xbox won't load the game. It will; it just requires a lot of time and disc-swapping, which is a very big hassle when I just want to have a quick race. I probably just need a new disc, but the problem is that I only paid two bucks for the entire game in the first place, which means it's probably going to cost universally more than that just for the disc. And it did; when I bought that second copy at Game Stop, it cost me $3.00!

I'm honestly afraid to buy any more Xbox stuff...

Cleaning... LASERS?

Dude, those lasers are so... precise that trying to 'clean' them might end up scratching them.

Twilight Wolf

Nah, they're fine to clean as long as you're gentle with them; If you use a Q-Tip to clean them, there's pretty much no chance you'll damage them.
