my friend obsesses over it. you make a single cell organism that keeps evolving and reproducing until your creature's empire rules the galaxy. the gameplay is kinda like the sims

How could you have never heard of Spore?!?
Eventually, you can advance to space travel too, where you can visit other people's planets. I've also heard you can conquer a planet, but I don't know.

PC, my friend. I haven't heard of any console versions, but I think there will be a DS version, if there isn't already.
