A bad mistake of mine.

It seems, in my banning of JDog/Axel/Master J, I made a "slight" oversight.

When I went to delete Axel, I accidentally deleted Alex, a well respected member of the site.

Right now, JQ, kamikazi, and I are working on a way to restore her account.

Darth Wyndisis

At least her posts will still all be here, right?

MagmarFire

Oh, gosh... That's a boo-boo...

What are you trying to do to reverse it?

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Gamefreak

I'm in the process of talking to Jack about this.

Keaton

Yar, I noticed that Alex's name showed up as a guest name.

I was all, "lol wut"

Takun

How did you get upside down letters Tach? Anyway. Thats lame. Is there any hope at all?

And why did Jdog get band? (No sympathy, just curiosity.)

He got three warnings, the last one being insulting/swearing.

Twilight Wolf

It was a bit sad, seeing as he had been around for so long, but it was only a matter of time before he finally slipped up fatally.
What, you expect me to say something witty?

Her posts will indeed still be here.  Banning doesn't delete the posts you made while you were a member.

To Takun, Jdog had trouble managing his anger and every now and then he would get a couple of warnings before he got it under control again.  It was a matter of time before he got three warnings considering he never showed much effort in keeping his anger in check.

I probably shouldn't tell you all this, but Gamefreak started a betting pool on the amount of time it would take for him to slip up that one last time.

Shika won.

In other news, HnS, her account wasn't banned-- it was deleted.

Hi no Seijin

It's past midnight, I'm a bit tired, my mind isn't all together.  Please forgive my boo-boo.

Eh, either way, her posts would still be there. After all, Gamefreak did delete all of JDog's accounts, yet we still see his name appear in Author's boxes for threads. Not that they're links, but they're still there.

Administrators can alter post counts.  They can rebuild her... it won't show that she was the author of the posts/topics that she originally made, but she could still have the same information as before.

I'm pretty sure admins can also fudge join dates.  3:

I think the fix is over here - http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=246737.0

here's a quote, emphasis bold

QuoteThe first query is missing a where statement and thus will not work. Plus this requires your user to recreate their account, fill in details, etc. If you have a backup you can restore it to a temporary database. Then extract the users you delete and import them into your live site.
[/b]

But only jack would be able to do that with the database.

The thing I'm worried about is Jack not understanding how SMF is coded.

That sounds extremely complicated. I hope we can get her back...
