No one's job security is assured. Except for the bigwigs.

Zelda Veteran

And the fatcats.

Obama promised CHANGE though... so when he gets into office, he has one helluva mess to clean up.

Thanks Bush!
=D

My real Poison team in BW2. They all have perfect natures and EV's. I went the extra distance and bred the right IV's into them. Come at me bro.

Hah, there's no way that one man's going to fix the economy. Remember, it isn't just the U.S.'s economy that's suffering. If I recall correctly, Japan is currently in a recession, too.

I'm as much for change as much as the next guy (seriously, did Adam and Eve have an economy...? >_> ), but sadly, it's likely not going to happen as quickly as people think it is.

When our economy went to hell, we took everyone else with us.

That's why Japan and Europe are also suffering.

Gamefreak

I can definitely sympathize with you DeityHero.  My dad was the spokesperson for Toledo's Mayor up until June of this year.  But he resigned from his post.  And since then he hasn't been able to get a job.

This recession is absolutely terrible. As usual, the big-shots and government are the ones to blame, yet they will always create some excuse to keep their jobs and fire a lower-ranked person as a "solution". Despite all of the government's talk, they still haven't learned from 1929. You're father getting fired is a great example of that.

Hopefully, you're father will get a job soon, and no one else here will have to go through similar loss.

My stepdad used to be out of work for years at a time. Through most of my high school years.

A lot of people are losing jobs. It's not just the fatcats and washington to blame, it's also the people who were greedy and gave loans to people who were never able to pay them back. It also has to do with a loophole on wall street that allowed the money to be transferred around until it ballooned to over 56 TRILLION dollars.

Mysterious F.

I was actually counting them as big-shots, JQ. I'm listing the puppets who are merely doing what the strings tell them as part of the puppetmasters.

darkphantomime

no need to say anything if what you say is simply '... I was talking about that JQ'.

It is just an example of how things got this way that I said before.

There were multiple factors.

Fools... They didn't think about how much influence the US economy has over the World economy.

My personal job prospects aren't looking too good either. But then, since when has it ever looked good?

Mysterious F.

I was correcting you, JQ, not insulting you. Don't feel bad every time I type on my keyboard. We really should dwelve off of this topic, anyway.

So, this might be slightly off topic, but does anyone feel Obama really can take care of this mess, or at least improve the conditions we are dealing with already? Compared to how bad a job the Republicans have demonstrated they're capable of in terms of handling economic matters, I'm sure Obama will at least be an improvement.

MagmarFire

Alone? Heck no. With a team of brilliant minds and those who actually give a darn about others? Quite possibly.
