The original topic died thanks to MasterKey, but it was an interesting topic.  So ONTO PHASE TWOOOOOOO

I think incorporating proximity mines into Zelda somehow would be very interesting.

The Glamour Nazi

I think they should have seed shooter in some of the 3-d ones.

Uximadesk

I think they should bring back the Deku Leaf, it remains one of the most unique and helpful items to date. It is not the same as the Roc's Feather, but it would also be nice to see it on 3D

Deku leaf was on 3D.

I would love to see some sort of tingle tuner-esque thing.

But it's more of a library, and not a way to contact... "Him"

You're inventions seem awfully uninventive.

It's because not a lot of things could be done with Hylian technology...

I think there should be water boots that allow you to walk on (you guessed it) water. Think how awesome it would be running across Lake Hylia.

Uximadesk

I can't remember clearly, but I'm almost sure there was an item like the Hookshot but you switched places with the target.

What feels un-Zelda about some of this items is that they are usually just focused on one task (fighting/movement/puzzle solving), and are not really well rounded. It is amazing how the Zelda team manages to bring simplicity and versatility with most of their items.

I would like an item that turned you into a ball (like Goron Link), it would work much like the morph ball, so there would be some fun puzzles to be solved like that.

Also, how about a Ramming Helmet, probably obtained after beating a Helmasaur mini-boss, it could tear down weak walls and dash through enemies for a quick escape. You also gain a speed boost, but your control while running is diminished, like riding a boar.

I can see it now... Link screaming his head off and the stupid casual player forcing him to slam his head into the wall.  ;D

With Roc's Feather, they could put in a wall jumping technique.  I really want to see Link wall jump.

So, the Hover Boots, but it lets you float on the air as long as you want?  Or do you want Link's feet to actually touch the surface of the water?

It'd be much cooler to have it so that you actually walk on the water and other liquids, maybe even magma and that kind of thing.  You wouldn't get them until late in the game, so when you do if you go back to earlier areas you get access to new content.

OH SNAP AND IF YOU GO TO A CERTAIN PLACE IN THE GAME YOU CAN GO HIGH ENOUGH TO WALK ON CLOUDS

and then you have access to this shortcut network that lets you get to a bunch of places much quicker.

So the helmet is pretty much pegasus boots?

Uximadesk

It seems like it, but it would feel unreal in a 3D environment to have Link's bare head crashing into a wall.

With the boots it was always your sword sticking out like a lance.

It hit the wall, not you.
