If I were to invent a weapon, would it be fair if it destroyed all enemies in 100 yard radius? I think that weapon = I win button. But that would be far to easy and Nintendo would go crash for catastrophic reasons.
Another weapon, how about a laser gun that turns one of your enemies into a chicken? I call it 'The Poultryizer'

Someone rolled a mage.

Most enemies that aren't the little pack mobs attack one at a time, so unless they were to drastically change that system there's no real reason for CC.

Actually I'm a druid. Lols.
But what if it was a bigger radius? Wouldn't be TOO bad.

Hi no Seijin

I think they have an item similar to that.  Wasn't it called Din's Fire?

Din's Fire wasn't very powerful, it probably wouldn't have been in the game at all were it not for the Shadow Temple.

Uximadesk

Hey! I used Din's Fire tons of times! I guess that made me a bad player, huh?
How about a variation of the hookshot where you can swing around enemies that are light enough, it would make for a great puzzle where you have to get the right enemy to the right spot.

I used it alot too! And I found it very effective. Maybe if it were a little more powerful, I think it would've been used more often.

The original topic died thanks to MasterKey, but it was an interesting topic.  So ONTO PHASE TWOOOOOOO

I think incorporating proximity mines into Zelda somehow would be very interesting.

Hi yeah. My topic owned face and it was here forever! I can't believe it died...

ANYWAY. Remember that weapon in twilight princess that had the bright ball on the end of the dominion rod?

I think they should make a zelda weapon like that. But it allows you to throw like. Fire. Or bombs. That'd be pretty beast.

It'd be like really extreme tennis.

Hi no Seijin

You mean something like a Fire Rod?  Or Bomb Arrows?

Way to spoil all my fun. It'd have more glow to it...

Hi no Seijin

Would more glow be equivalent to more dakka?

Bringing this topic back to life:

The elec-needle bomb: You take a special bomb out, and you put it on the ground. It will not explode...yet. Once an enemy walks by, and electric surge is blasted at the enemy, killing it instantly. Immediatly, after the enemy's death, the bomb explodes, launching a cloud of small arrows that scatter through the terrain in a radius. They will stick out of the ground. You cannot reuse them. They look like ordinary arrows, so they cannot be easily recognized. When another enemy appears and walks into the circle of arrows, they will all send a pulsing explosion into the ground, shaking the terrain violently inside the circle, kicking the enemy (or enemies) into the air at least a foot, and then the arrows use the last of their energy (in this case, magic power) to release one last surge of electricity into the circle, frying all enemies in the circle and those close by. The only problem: It does not distinguish friend from foe, so if you're not a fair distance away, you'll get caught in the final wave.
