Ocarinahero10's Timeline theory

If the developers managed to make it possible for all five original games to exist in only of the two timelines, then yes, it is plausible. Though this seems difficult, since Link to the Past has a backstory that strongly suggests Ocarina of Time's Adult Timeline. The Legend of Zelda, The Adventure of Link, and Link's Awakening can go anywhere, really, since other Zelda games don't make references to the three.

My theory about the timeline is that they started to worry about timeline somewhere between ALttP and LA, where games started to have some backstory to them. For me, this means that the first two games could really be connected to any other by any means.

Still, I do disagree with some important points in this timeline, the most important being that WW and ALttP don't fit the same timeline.

As always, we'll be hoping that the next game can shed some light on the timeline, and as usual, it will only make things more complicated.

PS: If the next Wii Zelda is about the creation of the Master Sword, wouldn't it place it before OoT? Yeah, let that sink in for a while.

PPS: What still intrigues me is that the Sacred Realm depicted in ALttP and the Twilight Realm both seem to follow the "floating masses of land in a semidark space" scheme. What if?

Could also be that the spirit is seperated from the sword/the sword is destroyed or any other of numerous possibilities, so we'll have to wait and see on that one.
