I think I've given my Team Fortress 2 a performance boost! Woohoo!

Nice!  That's awesome.  What kind of FPS you getting now?

The only one that I know you watch.  Yu-Gi-Oh.

Wrong series, but the same creator. ;)

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

True, and the ease of reinstallation without having to suffer loooooooooong downloads is why I insist on buying hard copies of PC games. :>

Unless they're games like Mass Effect or Assassin's Creed which use SecuROM as a piracy "deterrent." I shall be buying the former from Steam for sure, as it doesn't include said software; not sure about the latter. Either way, I refuse to support the inclusion of SecuROM in games, as all it does is cause headaches for the legitimate consumer.

Think of it this way: Why would you pay for something when you can get the exact same thing for free, and the free version would give you none of the problems of the one you had to pay for? Why would you pay for it? However, I'm not the pirating type, so if I can find an alternative to both, I will take it. Hence, Mass Effect on Steam.

There is only one game I'm even considering buying that contains SecuROM, and that's Mirror's Edge. Normally I'd just buy it on Steam if I wanted to play it on my PC that much, but the hard copy includes the CD soundtrack to the game. I like the music in that game. However, I've already beaten the game on my PS3, I wouldn't install the hard copy I bought on my PC because of the software on it, and I'd still be supporting SecuROM by paying for the hard copy.

AAAAARGH

I think he's talking about this.

Over 100 fps in a big firefight on Badwater, all settings at their highest, 1920 x 1080.

The thing is, though, the way I'm running it prevents me from being able to use v-sync, meaning I'm getting icky screen tearing that makes the game a lot less smooth. My high FPS means nothing if it looks like I'm only getting 30! D:
