Heck, I just wish that it would end already! The 9/11 attacks were bad enough, but more lives are now at stake with another war brewing.

It shouldn't really matter whether you win a war or not. Any real loss would be any soldier's fatality, and with all of the fighting going on, we're bound to have more real losses.

Actually, it does matter if you win even one battle to affect your army! In the Battle of New Orleans (1815) between the US and Britain, the US lost 7 - 78 people, while Britain lost over 200 soldiers! This victory is a great morale to the US army.

200 soldiers isn't that much of a blow to an army itself, but when losses are 4 to 1 in your favour, thats gotta have a good effect!

The funny thing to remember though is that the majority of American casulities on America's side were French, (But for some strange reason the French casulties are never counted in the total casulties in the textbooks) the French also built the statue of Liberty for the U.S.A so no calling them cheese eating surrender monkeys American's, OK?

Yes, that's true, but the most important thing is to end the war as soon as possible. When that happens, it doesn't matter who wins; the war would end.

I'm not trying to sound cold hearted, but people die in wars.  This generation's anti-war left, never grew up realizing the sacrifices we had made in the past to stop the world's worst dictators.  And before people tell me about how many people have died in Iraq, I have an answer.  Millions of people died in a series of DAYS at Operation Overlord in World War II

And you have to think, the army isn't manditory anymore, you still have to sign up for the extremely rare draft but the draft never happens so people are volunteering to put thier lives on the line for this nation so they are willing to die so long as we come out victoriuos.
