Shadow Ganon

We'll after completing Windwaker (again) last night I thought up a question. What is to become of Ganon? I mean we all know he will come back somehow or another but I decided I would give us all a chance to use our imagination.( Oh and who created the master sword?) :-\

Davros

Well with the master sword now firmly lodged in Gannondorf's head... and him being turned to stone. I reckon he becomes the new pedestal of time. That however would lead to problems, because as soon as you removed the sword from his head it would free him. Forcing you to fight Gannon straight away. Any ideas?

Shadow Ganon

Exactly my theory Davros, maybe one of his minions will search for him and free him at the start of a new game, and he will raise to the surface. I told you he would raise again, and for my help he will be most grateful lol.  ;D

Davros

Lol. I should have realised you would go back begging to Gannondorf Shadow Ganon... but this would mean that one of Gannons minions would have to remove the Master sword. And as only those who are destined to be the hero of time can remove the sword... and as Raru says in OOT, the master sword can not be touched by evil... this means Link would have to be tricked. Or the minions could chop of links hands and use them like a pair of gloves! ;D

Shadow Ganon

Thats a good point and I can just imagine a Moblin holding links hands a meter of his hands with a big cheesy grin and text saying you obtained the Hero Gloves. Don't worry, I assure you he will return...

Davros

I am reasured by your words Shadow Ganon. And let me also reasure you that my followers will eventually learn their folly and return to their true creator and master. Then far more than a mere triforce shall be mine. I shall have the universe in my pocket, and The Doctors head on my wall. ( As well as his scarf and several bits from K9...)

Shadow Ganon

Mounted above a rocky fireplace? Well you can have all that but one thing remains, If evil can't touch the master sword then how is it Ganon manages to knock it out of Links hands just before the very final fight in OoT??

Evilslayer

Only one worthy of the title Hero of Time can move it from the Pedestal of Time. There's only one Pedestal of Time. Ganon cannot become the Pedestal of Time because by removing the sword from him won't open the gate to the Golden Land. ;)

As for Ganon's return, I can think of two possibilities. The first is that the Master Sword loses its powers again and breaks (it is eventually rediscovered, of course). Ganon would attack New Hyrule (seen as this has to be before Ancient Hyrule is resurrected), and the new Link will have to kill him with Silver Arrows (yay!).^_^ This may explain how he permanantly becomes Ganon, the daemon.

The other possibility is that he may not need his Gerudo body. I think that Ganon the daemon is his true identity and the Gerudo body is only a disguise. While his body has been turned to stone his spirit may become free and eventually he may create a new body for himself, or even possess the body of one of his minions.

I just thought of a third, which is based on the second. Except in this theory Hyrule has been resurrected and Ganon's Tower is in an enormous cavern underneath the lands. Somehow the Master Sword has lost its powers and one of Ganon's minions pulls it out.

I believe evil ones can touch it as long as it does not have the power to repel evil.

Shadow Ganon

Very well evilslayer but this still doesn't answer my question of how Ganon can knock it out of Links hands just before the end fight of OoT, I mean it is at full power at this stage.

Davros

Perhaps Gannon simply hits young links wrist or arm with such force that Link (being the little weak child he is.) lets go of the master sword in pain, thus sending it flying through the air. Or someone at Nintendo could not have been thinking very clearly when they designed the last section of Wind Waker...

Shadow Ganon

It is proberbly that simple but i am not lol.

Evilslayer

Er... he doesn't touch the sword, y'know. So, it shouldn't be too hard for him to knock it out of Link's hands.

Zelda Veteran

I think that a new evil will threaten the land, and link has no other choice, but to take the sword and free ganon. Perhaps vaati returns cell shaded? that would be cool. Or mabey the sword breaks like in minish cap, and he is freed. im just thinkin as i go...

My real Poison team in BW2. They all have perfect natures and EV's. I went the extra distance and bred the right IV's into them. Come at me bro.

Davros

I agree Zelda Veteran that vaarti returning in cell shaded form would be cool but would it not be a bit confusing next to the Tp graphical style that has been adopted? Unless of course they switch back to cell shaded in a later game.
