There are far worse things in existance.  Tingle isn't even bad.  He's a good thing; he's an awesome role model.  He's not afraid to stand out.  Let the masses make fun of him because he dresses differently.  He doesn't give a damn.  Everyone else is just jealous because they're afraid to be different.

Man, I love that song. At least Tingle doesn't have to fear of ever becoming like that. I like him for being so good at what he does (drawing and deciphering maps. Ever seen anyone else who's that good?) and following his dreams. At least MM's Tingle reached his goal, so why wouldn't the others? Tingle does have a bit of an over-ego, but hey, that's common nowadays. And most deserve it even less.

I'm not kidding.  There are far worse things than Tingle.

It's really sad when people put other people down just because they have to courage to stand out.

And what's really weird is that everyone wants to stand out, but only to a certain degree.  I mean, people like to show their invidualism through what they wear, but they still adhere to fashion rules, which are complete bull, by the way.  I call these people individualistic conformists.

Why? So he dresses in green tights. So what? (Man, this sounds so repetitive... :-* )

Let me say this: There ARE characters out there who wear these kinds of clothes. One of these is Captain Qwark from the Ratchet and Clank series; he wears green tights. Sure, he's an antagonist in the first two games, but he turns out alright in the later additions to the series. In fact, he even becomes an ally! I think he's a very funny dude, come to mention it. ;)

Also, doesn't Link himself wear that kind of clothing? I don't see many people making fun of HIM because if it. Why should we make fun of Tingle?

His attitude, perhaps? Folks, people out there have been FAR WORSE than Tingle, believe me. Need I mention Adolf Hitler? Osama Bin Laden? They KILLED people based on stupid stereotypical beliefs. If THAT'S not worth making fun of, then I don't think anything is. Also, Sephiroth from FFVII did a lot worse, too! He pillaged an entire town, killed Aerith, cast Meteor upon the Planet, and became a god-like creature because of his belief that he was the stronger person in the world, everyone else deserved to die, and that he deserved power. (Of course, he already had enough to begin with! :P )

Has Tingle killed people based on stereotypical beliefs? I sincerely doubt it.

Not to side with the Tingle haters, but Link's clothing is normal. It was normal for men to wear tunic and tights back in the Middle Ages.

Exactly.  Suppose Link didn't wear a tunic, but Tingle did.  Then wouldn't you all hate Link instead of Tingle?
