 Well, let me start off by saying that I grew up playing the NES as a kid. I've been gaming for well over 20 years now. My favorite console is obviously the NES Deluxe Set with R.O.B. I'm very proud to say that I actually own a NES Deluxe Set in nearly new condition, complete with everything it originally came with, including the plastic it was wrapped in, super rare Duck Hunt and Gyromite games in boxes, manuals, posters, Nintendo's Official seal of approval card and everything!

My favorite game franchise is without a doubt The Legend of Zelda. I own an authentic, original, FACTORY SEALED, brand new, never opened, The Legend of Zelda game for NES! (Gold Cartridge Edition) It has the horizontal line on the back in the plastic seal and even has the original plastic hanger! It's exactly the same as if you went in the stores in 1987 and bought it. On top of that I have Zelda II The Adventure of Link (Gold Cartridge Edition) and Ocarina of Time Collectors Edition, both FACTORY SEALED in the exact same condition. First runs of everything.

I own and have beaten all of the Zelda games with an exception to the Phillips CD-i games.

I can remember opening up the very first Legend of Zelda for NES in 1987 and seeing the gold cartridge for the very first time. I've been hooked on Zelda games ever since! One things for certain, I love classic Nintendo and Zelda! I'm a hardcore, old-school, gamer, from back in the day who's all about the classics!

I'm well aware that nobody truly deserves to use the great man's name, but I've probably been playing his games longer than any of you. Even if I never post again, I'm still probably more deserving to use it. As far as that goes. The only reason I even mentioned these facts, is that I was very rudely confronted by your Mod Zelda Veteran. (Via PM)
Anyway, I hope the rest of you are much kinder than he is!

Jeez man. I just asked why you used his name and never posted, man alive. >:(  You'll find that Im actually a pretty nice guy, and you didnt have to shout my name out like that. I have to say im a little upset about that, and the fact that you seem real... You know what, i could say something real harsh, but I'll just keep it to myself, and hope that this whole thing blows over. I try to be a friend to everyone here, but I guess it's possible that there are natural opposites. ;) Anyways, I dont hold grudges, so its cool with me. :D

No problems, sorry for the mix up. If you guys want you can delete my account. I didn't realize that my username was going to bring out so much anger in people. I also didn't realize that certain usernames require large amounts of posts in order to use them.

Even though I would bet my life I've been playing his games longer than any of you, that's not enough for you. Of course' I can't really expect most of you to understand the importance of being a fan for over 20 years. Most of you, including Zelda Veteran have only been fans for a very short while. Oh' and by the way, you need not wait for the real Shiggy to ever join this place. It will never happen. No hard feelings at all, but since your all wigging out so much, just delete my account.

Whats with all the hate man? You really have issues. I dont think you should put yourself above other members just becuase you're older. Its not my fault that I havent been a fan for 20 years, I'm only 15. We never intended to delete your account, in fact, I hoped to see you around the forums. I figured that since you were so experienced, you would be a great asset to the site. Dont explode like that, we arent mad at you.

You need to chill out, and stop taking things the wrong way. And the fact is, we didnt expect you to post a lot, we just get over 1000 members that register and never post. Jeez, dont cry, just shake it off, and stop bragging about how long you've been a fan. You'll find that it annoys people. Perhaps you should stick around a little longer, and get to know us! Sorry for anything I might have done to set you off. I realize that I might have angered you, but really, Im all for second chances.  :)

He already said he was a nice guy, but I would like to vouch for ZV.  Sometimes he may come off offensive, but once he realizes that, he does apologize.

Congratulations.  You've been alive longer than most of us here, because most of TDC's active members are 16 or younger.  And what importance is there in being a fan for over 20 years?  Sure, Zelda is a great series, but more important things come to mind.  Like food, water, and companionship.  All that being a fan for over 20 years tell me is that TLoZ has yet to displease you enough to stop playing it.
