Hi no Seijin

Well, wisdom doesn't exactly stop someone from being a tad bit clumsy.

actually Alex, if you have trouble making decisions, maybe having wisdom could help with that...and the reason Link always beats Ganon even though he doesn't have power is because of the Master Sword, Evil's Bane. Except for ALttP where he used Silver Arrows...

Ummm... I think the master sword was called the 'sword of evil's bain' in LttP...

"On cataclysm's eve..."

DW

well yeah, he used the sword in ALttP, I'm just saying he needed the arrows as well.

Both swords indeed help Link, but I have a hard time believing those swords, which sometimes are completely useless, are the complete key to defeating someone who is already incredibly powerful without the ToP. And the Silver Arrows were used in TLOZ as well, btw.

DW

Well the sword helps to seal Ganon away, so to some extent he does need it. and I did not know about LoZ, been forever since I played it.

In ALttP Link retrieves the Master Sword to defeat Agahnim, NOT Ganon. The only weapon that can defeat Ganon in that game, and the first, are the Silver Arrow.

Anyway, this topic reminds me of the clash between cold iron and hot iron. I'll quote what I quoted on another forum to explain what those terms mean.

QuoteThe more heat you use to temper iron and the faster it's chilled, makes it harder, but also makes it brittle. If you take raw iron (aka cold iron) and hammer it, it will shape better because it's soft and will absorb the blow and spread the tensions and last a long time. So hot iron means, even if you're full of life and ferocity it doesn't matter, once things get tough you will break off and die out. Cold iron means you are made stronger by your hardships and won't die out when the going gets tough for you.

Therefore...

Power= Hot iron
Wisdom= Can be either
Courage= Cold iron

You could say this is why Ganon is always defeated by Link. History shows that most times -- 3/4 out of 5 times, I think -- cold iron beats hot iron.

So, I'd definitely choose either Wisdom or Courage. Wisdom is my favourite, though. And if I add Courage, and with that the right types of Power, I'm cold iron.

QuoteI desire no parts of the triforce. There seems to be little point in wanting something that you already possess.

The Triforce is more than just that. According to TotG, ALttP's Japanese brother, each Triforce has a crest, or soul. So, them having a small but powerful portion of the power of the Gods may not be such a big mistranslation after all. :-*

Zelda's. With knowlage, you can rule a country. A country with people of Courage and people of Power. Wisdom rules!

BLUE POWER! BLUE POWER!

Hi no Seijin

Wisdom isn't knowledge, though.  Wisdom is more like the application of knowledge to benefit others.

Such as ruling a country.

Hi no Seijin

True, but not necessarily.  After all, even an ignorant fool can be wiser than an educated man.
