What happened to the Deku's?

Ok, go to the docters office in Castle Town, go straight and turn left. Go to the chair, look at it, and it has 3 leaves like the top of those guard Deku's in MM.  :D I think...

I will look into it eventually...so they were all turned to chairs...what a way to go...

Anyway, did anyone notice that there were no Deku's anywhere in TP? I mean, they haven't been in any Zelda games recently? I wonder what happened to them?

Maybe the Deku Scrubs just aren't important in the game? The developers doesn't add everything there is. Then the fields would be filled with farmlands and villages (and Kakariko Village would have more than just three inhabitants; Talo say that he don't want to leave all these people just so he and the other kids can save themselves, so in reality Kakariko Village is inhabited by more than just Renado, Luda and Barnes).
