Do you have any idea how long our correspondence has gone? Since late october-mid november...

And yes, I emailed her TWICE. but still no response. FYI: I send her quite a bit, asking her opinion, and talking about other things... I probably have like 70 pms from her. How many of you can claim to have that much of a correspondence with her?

DW

Well let's just wait and see how things turn out...there really isn't much else you can do if you have emailed and such.

In fact, there is absolutely nothing you can do unless you find out more about her somehow. Other than that, you'll just need to wait. Don't fret!

Hmmm... If you must leave, then so be it. There has been quite a bit of immaturity in the forums, and sadly, we cannot do much about those individuals. I'm sorry to hear that you think we're all childish, and hearing so say that the certain moderators are immature automatically makes me wonder if you're talking about me. You see, I may not spell some things right, and I might have a different sense of humor, but GameFreak, and Akatsuki both seem more mature than I am.

And to Phantompig, HA2 is getting bombed with spam too. It really sickens me. HA2 want meant for that kind of posting. So no, you really arent safe anywhere you go. It hurts my eyes too Bgrugby, understand that. But there is nothing we can do without Jack slamming the gavel on it. Its his site, and us moderators are pretty powerless when it comes to laying down the law. Jack's rules are pretty vague, and all of these younger members do their best, I'm sure. If you could find it in your heart to reconsider, I (as well as many other members I'm sure) would greatly appreciate it. If you decide otherwise, well, we're all going to miss you. 8)

My real Poison team in BW2. They all have perfect natures and EV's. I went the extra distance and bred the right IV's into them. Come at me bro.

I think he was talking about Akatsuki, no offense.

Hi no Seijin

Eh, we all show our immature side.  Some of us just need to learn when it's best to start acting mature.

That's right, even the best of us have our moments.  Like when my Dad (Who's the chief assistant to our Mayor) watches football, I would think he's a kid.

Do people even read what I post, where did I say that everyone here is childish? I said a select few are childish and immature and even pointed out that one of the big problems to that is no age restriction, you should at least be 13 to post here like with most forums. And I did not say all mods are bad only a few who seem to want me gone and are ones who try to sway other members into believing what they do when the job of a moderator is to moderate. You really lose all privaleges in stating your opinion as a moderater because you are supposed to be neutral in all discussions. Some of the mods do not do this. As I said the majority of people here (about 95%) are very intelligent and I enjoy having conversations with, however those select few are drowning out the intellegence and really dumbing down the site. And considering I deal with plenty of immature children at my job, I do not want to deal with it here in my free time. I am hoping changes will be eventually made but until then consider me on sabatical (with the exception of posting PMs to certain members and trying to clarify on here).

Hi no Seijin

Sorry for getting off topic (again), but I don't remember anyone saying the mods had to be neutral in every discussion.  They're here to enforce the rules.  They should be neutral in that regard.  However, they should be allowed to discuss their views about, say, President Bush like every other member here can.

Well then you are basically giving members with more power over others. I am sorry but that is not how it is. A mod is someone who has more power then regular members but they are to stay neutral in all discussions. They forfeit their opinions for the power they are given, their job is to make sure everything is run smoothly. Sure they can maybe state what they think but that is it. But when I see mods make a thread stating "this is blah blah because of blah blah" then no they have overstepped their boundries. No being a mod may be different here where you get power and can be like a regular member but that is not the case in most forums.

Just watch any political debate, the moderator has no opinion in the matter they just direct the individuals involved and make sure everyone stays on task, that is the job of an online moderator as well.

Baka Nezumi

I can understand both points. I doesn't really bother me if a mod states their opinions in a matter but, it does bother me when they do post topics concerning their opinions.

Somehow I feel bgrugby thinks he's the boos of us...  :-*

You're not Jack. Only Jack has the power to tell us that we cannot make topics concerning our opinions.

This is also a free site that highly appreciates the Freedom of Speech laws in America and England, among other nations. You're view on what a mod can and cannot do may be different than other member's, but we're ALL allowed to state our own opinions. Even Jack can make one if he wants to.

The role of the mods is only to make sure that the rules are enforced because of Jack's absences. We cannot ban members, we can only keep the site peaceful. ONLY if a topic gets out of control (like Dan the Man's religious debate topic from 2006) do we step in as mods, otherwise we're average members. The only difference between members and mods is that we're allowed to give warnings and do tricks with posts and topics.

QuoteWell then you are basically giving members with more power over others.

You left that sentence incomplete. What were you going to say?

Also, I won't watch political debates. Although I'm a history buff, politics bore the h*** out of me. I have no interest in them and once fell aslepp trying to watch one.

alex

gosh, now i feel all "immature"
sorry for your bad expierences??
but its not really our fault...

To akatsuki: Then what was the point of your global warming thread? You basically made a topic that got out of hand almost instantly. Not to mention I feel that you gave me a warning because you were looking for an excuse, because I disagreed with you.

That is why mods cannot make topics of debate. If the mod gets offended because of what someone else states regarding their opinions, then the mod probably will prosecute that member. A clear sign of power corruption.

And let us not forget the fact that Bgrugby was a mod when this site began. SO he knows your duties, he is aware of your position. Respect his advice.
