Does Vaati Have...?

My sister and I were arguing over what it is that Vaati has on his cheeks. I say high cheekbones, and she says wrinkles. What do you guys think?

Or maybe it's a wind mark from the hat making him a wind sorcerer. Just sort of showing a "look, this is fake" to everyone.

I told my sisters and my cousin that it could be a scar, and they're like "Then it would make him look like a wimp because he can't fight back" >.< Bull! They just do it to annoy me.
