Quotethe trailers gave me and erie feeling like the shadow temple and gannons tower did (oot) so i thinks its gonna be that way almost threw out the game.

For me one of the freakier parts was when Link is almost tiptoeing down the stairs, only to have a big glowing freaky Armos Statue with a huge hammer come alive and roar. And jump out at Link. That gave me a bit of a fright. But I guess that's the way of the Armos... roar, shudder, and jump out at Link.

I really would like to see the Zelda games a bit more mature, but not violent. I think that it is a very fine line to walk, making the Zelda series more mature, but not violent, and I hope that Nintendo can do it. I'm sick of media pummeling us with violence all the time.

I couldn't of said it any better myself! ;)

You're right,TP is likely to be rated T.

Plus, like most of you said here, the Shadow Temple was "gross".Blood all over the place(well, actually, only a few rooms)like there had been a massacre in there...which I'm sure there was.

And if Zelda had a "Guns" theme, they'd be using flint/matchlock muskets and ancient guns like that.

true. lee just thinks that zelda is gonna go down hill one day because nintendio needs the cash. but they love us fans i dont think theyll do that.

Vampire

Zelda? Guns?      Am I really seeing this? You guys have got to be joking! Zelda will never be a "guns" game! Bows and arrows don't exactly mix with guns. At least I hope it will never be a gun game. That would blow.

Master Goron

Since when does a company with 6 billion dollars need the cash?

Yeah, I don't want Zelda to have guns, it would ruin the atmosphere.

Evilslayer

Nintendo is the only of the three who actually earn any money on their games/consoles. Did you know that Microsoft actually LOOSE money for each X-box they sell?

Quotethe trailers gave me and erie feeling like the shadow temple and gannons tower did (oot) so i thinks its gonna be that way almost threw out the game.

You can't judge the game by the trailers. Nintendo did the same way with OoT. But yes, it will be dark, emotional and serious. That's because Aonuma has confirmed it.

Zelda has already gone downhill, with OoT. But it seems to enter a new age of greatness with TP.

I half agree with that. I think that Zelda may be going down the hill, but not because of OoT!!! OoT is what brought it really high up the hill. (with mastering 3D, the sad, somewhat twisted storyline, all the characters, the extra fun stuff, riding a horse, blah blah blah) Maybe it went down the hill with some of the shorter games that didn't have 3D or fun extras or horses. But, it's defently going to be really good when TP is coming out, it'll make up for some the other games.

Master Goron

Zelda is not going downhill. Each game is better than the last.

And what's this about it going downhill at OoT? That's widely regarded as the best game of all-time.

Even Miyamoto says the only game he's made that he's felt let down by was FSA.

some ppl hate oot MG, i was talking to a fellow fan from another fourm last week. he said he hated it, i myself gasped hearing so and simply replied "ZOMG WHY?!" (XD it was on aim, i get a little nerdy) he told me that link seemed too femanine (spelled right? and just to add my friend thought link looked cute in 0otXD) and gannon just didnt look good as a pig... he didnt understand the plot really (yeah there were parts were the simple minded wouldnt understand) so 0ot had its holes....

Well, I do have to agree with MG--OOT did get like... game of the year for like 3 years in a row, and may likely be the first exposure that a lot of people have ever gotten to Hyrule (just my conjecture). I know it was the first Zelda game that I ever played for much, and single-handedly has made me a bit of a Zelda geek (that doesn't know much about anything other than OOT, but still a geek).

I don't know what that guy from your forum was talking about.

"link seemed too femanine": Hm... OOT is where Link looks feminine? I'm not sure what it is that could make him look "feminine"--maybe the earring? Anyway... first time I've ever heard this complaint (all the female Zelda fans that I know have, since OOT, christened the Hero of Time "My Linky-Poo!" and the males certainly don't bring it up as much).

"gannon just didnt look good as a pig": Well... at least he hated the game long enough to play all the way to the end and decide, in the end, that he didn't like the way Ganon looked.

What's the big difference between OOT and TTP? I was always under the impression that they were the most similar, TTP being the first realism-esque 3D Zelda title since OOT. Or did you mean "going downhill since OOT"?

i think it was the whole white tights thing and in some offical art his tunic was fairing around like a skirt...i talked to him last night about what he thought about links look in TP he goes "now he looks like a hobo" ::) some ppl are never happy.

Master Goron

Hey, if he didn't like it because of the way Link and Ganon looked, he's got problems, seriously. I can understand the plot part, to some extent, but I can't see hating the game for those three reasons alone.

Yeah, on my last play-through, I noticed the earrings, but didn't make anything of it.

Oh, and let me ask this:

Why is Twilight Princess so popular right now?
