Gold Gauntlets

I just got thinking when I was posting in Nabooru's topic about the best equipment about Biggoron's sword.  It is so heavy that Link, a mere Hylian, has to wield it with both hands, blah, blah, blah.  So, when wearing the gauntlets that allow him to hurl giant rocks out of way with ease, he can't hold a large sword with one hand?  Are you kidding me?

I'm pretty sure that the exact way you hold the sword was not the main concern of Nintendo when the game was made.

It would be cool if you could hold the BigGoronSword in one hand, and a sheild in the other.

I don't think the weight of the sword is why Link can only use two hands.  The Biggoron's Sword is long, like a masamune (a Japanese sword with an 8 foot blade).  A blade that long would be hard to control with only one hand; two hands are required for better control.

Take an 8 foot long string. It's long, but does that mean it's hard to carry? Also, the game said that the sword is so heavy you can't carry it with ine hand.

True, but now the issue is that you have the Golden Gauntlets, which will let you carry that sword with one hand.  The fact is that it is still too long to control well with only one hand.  The Biggoron's Sword isn't hard to carry, just hard to control effectively.

And the longer the blade, the more wobly it gets, much like the string.  Even if you stiffen it, it will still woble some.  Sorry, but bringing up the string was a poor counterpoint, Whocares.

Still, as long as you have the sword, it's okay with me whether or not you hold it with one hand.

Here's a quote from the game:  "It's so long, you can't use it with a shield."  That is said when you get the Giant's Knife, which, for all practical purposes, is Biggoron's Sword.
