Spam?

Do you guys think spam is a bad thing? I my self hate spam, whats you appionion?

The forums on Ice's Zelda Central is flooded with it.  We get all of these guests with some really weird names (and crappy jokes) trying to sell us some kind of medicine.  A couple of them were women trying to hook up with a guy (a stupid thing to do over the internet, really).  A few are very inappropriate.  I wish Ice would give someone like Princess Zelda or me the power to delete them.  Well, I hope it's me, because I reply to some of them, ridiculing them.  Some of the spam has been fun to ridicule, especially the one with bad grammar.

It sucks, I think there should be a spam forum here and try to keep less in the chatboard.

I went over to medlis forum, It was jack full of spam. I couldn't find a thing, what makes a forum good, is a board that allows spam. Not the entire thing. Because the admin has to go through all that work, and delet it all, and thats realy not fair to the admin.

Spam is evil. I hate it when I'm looking for something and can't find it because of spam. It's usually quite pathetic.

I kinda hate spam. There is more than one type of spam though. When i first became a mod, I'd bust people hard for spamming, but i got easier on em cuz off-topicness (a form of spam) is common and happens by mistake.

The other form of spam, i got no mercy for if its outside the spam forum. Like Hi no Seijin said, on some forums there are people selling medicines. Those i lock up.

spam is one of the most annoying things that can happen on the forums. It gets in the way of ACTUAL discussion.
