I opened this space for DC community to talk about theyr first zelda game and the way you enjoyed playing them.

Zelda Veteran

The very first game I played was Ocarina of Time. I was introduced to Zelda by my friend Garret Johnson of the 2nd grade. It opened new worlds to me, and gave gaming a different meaning. You see, i thought all video games were like mario.
-No real danger
-Avoid enemies, rather than attack them head on
-Get hit once and die
-Levels
I played Ocarina of Time, and I was captivated. The fact that it seemed realistic, and that you were an anonymous hero that rose to save a mystical land... I loved it. That being said, I played the sequal when it hit shelves, Majora's Mask. It was far too complicated for me for some reason, and I gave up on it, and moved on. About 4 or 5 years later, I picked up majora's mask again, and STILL couldnt beat it.

About a year after that, I bought the collectors edition for GameCube, and STILL couldnt win, due to a glitch in the game. About a year after that, i tried again, and beat it within a few weeks. I consider the Zelda Series the greatest out there. It challenges my mind with puzzles, yet keeps me entertained with boss battles! It is the perfect series for me.

My real Poison team in BW2. They all have perfect natures and EV's. I went the extra distance and bred the right IV's into them. Come at me bro.

The first Zelda I ever played was the original on the NES when I was 7. I saw my older brother playing it and I wanted to, of course he wouldn't let me so I had to wait until he was out of the house before I got a chance to try it out. Of course for a 7 yr old playing Zelda the first time I was really frustrated, I didn't know what the heck to do. But I soon got the hang of it and loved it. Even my brother let me play it around him and we both fell in love with the gambling game in it  ;D. Since then I have loved Zelda.

The gambling game sucked!! He just takes your money! Say no to gambling kids. Except for the one in Link to the Past with the treasure chests, that was a game worth playing!

Hi no Seijin

Say, is anyone else thinking General Zelda board?

Anywho, my first Zelda game was A Link to the Past back when I was in ninth grade, so about four years ago.  Back then, I wasn't actually into gaming.  I mean, I would play video games because I was board, but that was usually it.  But ALttP helped me get into games for the story as well as the challenges, and it got me into the Zelda series.  And the series as a whole has been an inspiration to my writing (which, ironically, I haven't been working on except for fanfics ;) ).
Best.  Cane.  EVER!

This does sort of belong in General Zelda. Nice call Hi no Seijin. And away it goes. (heroic music)

It was The Adventure of Link. I guess that's why I'm among the relative few who appreciate the game. Then again, with my tendency to give things a chance that aren't given a chance by most, I know I would've liked it no matter what. It's a fun game, with the biggest map and  the most towns of any TLOZ. I wish some enemies from that game would return (how about meeting a disguised Ache in 3D? Now that would be scary.).

My first Zelda was A link to the Past, about ten years ago, almost. I got it even before OoT, and it was quite fun, even though some parts were quite difficult...
My second zelda was Links awakening, even though the color version was about a year or so away, I just had to get the rerelease, just to play it. I once was able to beat the whole game in one sitting... not something recommended for most other games.

ANyway... anyone up for a new twist on Lttp?

This hack is REALLY hard. Believe me, and a lot of its completely different from LttP, it even changes from day to night (!). But be warned, the first dungeon is extremely difficult to go about. PM me if you want to know how exactly you can play this game...

I'm not kidding folks, I've been playing the series for nearly 10 years, and I am positively baffled at how insanely hard it is.

Cleaned up your link.

The first Zelda game I ever played was OoT when I was about 9 or 10, I played it at my nephews' house and at my cousins. Actually, at my cousins, Mike and Christy's house, it was a hot summer day and we were in Mike's room playing it, and their vicious dog, Becky, was out in the hall. I was so hot and bored in there, but I couldn't go out of the room because then Becky would attack me.  :o

And I remember playing OoT at my nephew Jacob and Cody's house and staying up really late watching Inuyasha.  ;D Then my eyes started to burn because, one, they had been staring at the T.V. screen for so long and two, their mom, (my half-sister) Angel, smoked and the smoke was getting in my eyes. :'(  :P

Eralk Fang

Watching my brother play Ocarina of Time. One day, he handed it off to me while playing Ganon. I, uh, screamed. (Hey, I was little!)

But I began playing it, and I loved it. To this day, I credit Zelda with getting me into fantasy.

Vaati

That's alright, my friend played OoT as her first game, and she didn't get past the Deku Tree because the Skulltullas freaked her out. And she was about 11 then.

Evahn

Mine was ALttP. I was terrible. I play it now, and it seems so much easier. It's weird.

Vaati

Another strange thing is, before I even played it, I hated the Legend of Zelda, now it's my favorite game!  ;D

Baka Nezumi

My first game was MM, but because I was pretty young I gave up on it. The first I beat was WW, that's what got me hooked.

Knil

How I got hooked was like your story Eralk Fang.  Except it wasn't me brother that got me into it.  It was my friends!  I went over to my friends house when i was about 6 or 7 and his brother was playing it.  My friend said it was a stupid game, but I knew other wise.  His brother was playing OoT, fighting Ganon.  I got MM 2 years later and beat it in like 2 weeks, with 3-4 hours, so about 21-28 hours.
