Hi no Seijin

Yeah, I have that site bookmarked as a reference and for a few good laughs.  However, I think some of it seems a bit extreme.

The "writing titles wrong" one certainly is, because most people just write LoZ or WW.

I cant say how many times I've seen those mistakes made. Next time I see one of those mistakes, I'm going to yell:

GANON-BANNED!!!!

My real Poison team in BW2. They all have perfect natures and EV's. I went the extra distance and bred the right IV's into them. Come at me bro.

If they're making the mistakes, they'll likely have no idea what you're talking about. Which will make it all the more fun.

And I hadn't even listened to the song on the ytmnd; good song, haha.

Even if Michael Jackson is a freak now, his music still jams!!

Wow, that once WAS a good site, but he added a lot of stuff that actually make him deserve a gannon-banned. not to mention he seems to be getting more aggresive.

8. I'm not claiming there's a fourth piece, but I'm also not saying there isn't. The Triforce is NOT called the Triforce for having only three pieces. I don't know why it's called Triforce (maybe for its shape), but not for only having three pieces.

11. Oh come on! PH isn't out yet, so it doesn't count! I believe there's enough that can take place after TWW, but for now, this is simply one's own opinion.

16. Gannon-ban me all you want. Localization was good after LA. It's not an excuse for a bad official timeline, that likely DOESN'T EXIST.

Look at what OOT was supposed to be according to beta material and the knowledge it was supposed to be the legend spoken of in ALTTP! Link was an adult only (he seems to start as an adult. give me one reason why you'd be able to get younger in the game), grew up among Hylians, there were supposed to be a Wind and Ice Temple etc. All that got changed. Would they do that if they got a timeline? No. Not to mention, what about the stuff never released because of the failure of the 64DD? And there was supposed to be a third Oracle of game, which was cancelled. how about the changes made in the stories of the other two (check wikipedia for some of it). For a big plan, that's not a good thing. Also, TWW was supposed to have two more dungeons. The Ice Temple? A dungeon to get Nayru's Pearl or the ToC? Parts of the story missing, who knows what it means for the timeline. And I don't even want to know what was changed in all other games.

Sure, if Nintendo said they don't have a timeline and that every game is random, wouldn't that kill part of the fun that is The Legend of Zelda? Except for the "who's your favourite ......", timeline topics are the most seen topics on TLOZ fora (or is it forums?). Not to mention a few of their games wouldn't make much sense anymore either.

I think the only timeline there exists is the one a fan creates him- or herself. I don't know if it's true, but I heard that while they claim to have a timeline, they also claim it's not without flaws. And what does that mean? That any timeline is as good as the next! Because even the (*cough*not existing*cough*) official timeline is not correct.
I believe Nintendo if they say there's a timeline. I just don't believe them if they say there's an official one. They really are making up things as they go. That's why the games refer to eachother, but trying to place them all in the big picture is nearly impossible.

26. So? If you'd let me review TP, I'd say it's 50% bad and 50% good, but still the overall grade would be 8.5-9.5. Attack the man if you want, but before you do, ask yourself this: What kind of pathetic moron are you if you're going to complain about a 8.9???? It's a great grade, nothing to complain about, unless you indeed are a fanboy/girl. And fanboys are noobs, the ones I hold responsible for some of the worse stuff in TP. I don't think the game deserves much more than a 8.9 if at all. Also, WTF? You know why people write a review? Not to explain the grade; the grade is there to summarize the review. I often ignore the grade, because all I need to know, all that IS important, is in the review.

Now that I think about it, I agree with you on all of those.

Wasn't there only two pieces of the triforce in the original game? So why can't it be four?

I myself do not believe that there is an official timeline. I think they have a general idea, but not something that puts everything into an exact order.

DW

no, there have always been three pieces.

Really? Where does it mention Courage in TLoZ? The manual? I remember Ganon had Power, and Link looked for Wisdom, but Courage didn't show up until TAoL. I think ...

That's correct. TLOZ didn't feature the ToC, but still the Triforce was called the Triforce. And you're gonna have a hard time convincing me that while creating TLOZ, they were already assured enough of its succes to create a story for the sequal. The fact the first game doesn't have a title proves they didn't intend to let it be a series (possibly hoped). And don't forget this was in a time sequals were not as common as these days (name one game that is considered good by the general public that hasn't gotten a sequal or is gonna get one or is one itself).

DW

I dunno, they made several versions of Pac-man.

I think we have our own interpretation of Gannon-banned here.

DW

Yes, I've seen quite a few Gannon-Bans myself...
