Which is it? I think split.

I'm sure Kannochi is gonna come along and argue with me, but I'm a single timeline theorist myself...regardless of what Aonuma says.

wiizard

split timeline is for myself the true one because of several details I had noticed.

what are these details, wiizard?

wiizard

have you read the "hundreds" of times I told of a video? if you don't you should search for it, is in another topic and that video is really awesome because of the lot's of info it has supporting the split timeline.

violinist

are you talking about Zelda Retro six?  :o

Commodore Axilon

Yeah, he is. Here it is in case anybody else wants to see it. I find it most unconvincing, but it could change somebody's mind...I guess.

Correct!

Said there is split timeline!

I'm done!  :)

Also, GameTrailers put the Oracles in seperate timelines, forgot FS, believe TP is in Adult Link's World,  and put LOZ/AOL and LA right after MM. (same Link) The timeline is clearly false, except the fact they split the timeline.

Evilslayer

The video was made before TP was released, when all splittists thought it was after the Adult Ending. But I agree. People who claim that the PSX have superior graphics to the N64 don't get my faith. :-*

Me? I'm a splittist... now. That way I can shove the legends I don't like, or don't feel comfortable about if put together with the old games, over to the Adult Timeline. My current timeline theory is:

Hyrule A: OoT CE, MM, IW->TP->ALttP, LA->LoZ, AoL

Hyrule B: OoT AE->GF->TWW, PH->TMC BS-> TMC-> FS BS->FS, FSA->OoS/OoA

The only reason I put the Oracles in Hyrule B is that I don't like to put any games after LoZ and AoL.

Mysterious F.

LTTP has been said by Miyamoto to be AFTER LOZ and AOL, Evilslayer.  :D

I'm a splitter.

Evilslayer

Yes, but that's Miyamoto. :-* Aonuma seems to care more about the Timeline, and I don't think Miyamoto would protest if Aonuma told him that he'd rather prefer to put ALttP before LoZ. Of course, I don't have any evidence that he disagree...

But I don't really care what Aonuma or Miyamoto thinks. I'm a splittists first and foremost because I don't like the Great Flood, and I'm an old schooler. It's my opinion that, when making a timeline, a fan should follow his/her heart more than what the guys at Nintendo claims.

But now I'm contradicting myself. ??? I guess what I feel about it depends upon my mood...

I don't understand this. The Great Flood is canon afterall, and I really don't see how the split timeline would change that anyway.

Evilslayer

My favourite games will not be disturbed by the Great Flood. :-* Because of the split I only really need to care about TP, ALttP and LoZ. And by basing my fan fics on the Split Timeline I don't have to spoil the nostalgic mood by adding legends of the Hero of Time. Instead I can just refer to that era the way it's mentioned in ALttP.

Well, there is TP... But in my opinion it's the only 3D Zelda that's truly up there with the old games. And it has some strong connections to ALttP. :-*

Master Dragmire

Im all for artistic freedom for story writing, but please try and be more reasonable here. Also, don't argue over statements made by officials. What Miyamoto and Aonuma state are both of equal value. They're partners, equal.

The fact that ALttP is after LOZ/AoL is, Ill admit, I little weird feeeling, but if it was stated, I will not argue with that point.
