Wait, see what now?

And just so you know, EVilbob was one of them.

"oh oh oh, let's all break down and cry, our beloved hero has turned on us!"

I was an anti-hero all along (I.E. A hero who behaves/has the attitude of a villain, but has heroic goals)

Maybe I should leave again. The people I knew have changed so many times I don't know them anymore, and now the mods are overbearing and holding on to "Jack says..." "Jack said!". I'm sure if he saw this he would be disgusted. I sure as hell know I am.

Ack, apologies for that comment. I was trying to make the point that innocent people are being punished for no reason. Look at the newest thread in announcements and you'll see what it's all about... Unless you've already looked.

It's just stupid really, we should be able to judge on right and wrong instead of relying on absolutes.

Then I guess it would be best if that policy were discontinued? Yeah, it's probably best... But the thing is, it's easier for me to judge when there ARE absolutes involved. Otherwise, things are confusing for me because I'm not always sure about how exceptions apply in certain situations.

So I'll consider the policy null and void, annul Tacheon's warning, and apologize personally to him; and then will all be well? I'm not saying this out of anger. I just want everything to be sorted out and to have peace.

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

*cough*Make me mod*cough* ::)

And thus, another chapter is written in the book of the hero of the revolution

If you think we're being rude and overbearing, then you should have seen bgrugby in his last weeks here.

It's just as well.  Jack won't even respond to anything I send him asking for help.

Fishalicious

The reason that they're getting upset about a word is because... well, there are children here.

I, myself, don't care if there's cursing allowed or not. But you know what? Some of our members are young, 10-13, you know. Cursing might not offend them, but it's terribly inpolite to be running around screaming "OH MY ** **! ITS SO ** TERRIBLE THAT IT MAKES ** LOOK **!"

Not to mention, it's not exactly good for a potential member to come to TDC, and see people swearing up a storm. /:

who?

and the reason I see this as overbearing, Fisk, is that the word in question is a contextual one. It has differing severities in different uses.

Fishalicious

Either way, it is still considered a curse by majority; therefore, unfit for use.

Mysterious F.

To put it shortly, Evilbob, bgrugby was a former mod in the early days of TDC, but became inactive. He came back eventually, but he began to always claim the mods (besides DW) were hopless and pathetic all around TDC (especially me, though this was understandable at the time), began to act like he thought of himself as the administrator, and frequently insulted half of TDC, and for that he was banned.

It's quite sad, once he was among the most respected members, now when one thinks of him, dark times will also come to mind. I only wish he would have thought things through, however, and he'd still be here and we'd be much happier than this gloomy site we are now.

...We need to be happier and more active, if you think about it.

He did have good points though, we were giving everybody breaks back then, it's only his performance that was bad. We've learned from that mistake: I quit the mods, we added new ones to replace more unwilling ones, we've become more strict on our policies, and we've also learned we should be more friendly with other members, so that another such case would never happen again.

Howl

I feel like some of this is my fault for even causing the uprise in things again.

Mysterious F.

No no, this is minor. Uprise would be on the level of the Ganon and bgrugby incidents.

Nah, you had nothing to do with it, Howl. You couldn't have had anything to do with it.

It's nice to see you back, by the way. :)

Nothing here is your fault.  You voiced your opinion, and that's perfectly ok to have a difference in opinion.  Evilbob was the one who took what we said to heart and described the mod's and my work inferior and pathetic(Not an exact quote but it sums it up).

There's a difference between what you two did.  You voiced your opinion, Evilbob preached his.

Davros

In my opinion the best thing to do would be stop complaining. I understand that you feel the word you used was not offensive enough to be warned about, but surely you should be complaining about that rule Evilbob? Not about the whole Mod team. Surely you can see that people won't take you seriously if you suddenly claim that you can just do better.
