OK, I played my Gamecube version of OoT and I was Adult Link. I went to the Desert Colussus to find Nayru's love(behind the wall etc.) got it and then I wondered what will the Great Fairy say to me as Young Link. I did go back in time, and surprise! the door was allready bombed and the Great fairy said that will heal my wounds or something like that. Strange huh?  :o

Well...from the perspective of time, that really does violate chaos theory. It's basically chaos theory in reverse! :P

But from an eventing perspective, perhaps Nintendo forgot/thought it was too much of a mess to have it so going back in time would turn off the switch that gave the wall form. The bomb would turn the switch on, and if it's on, then the wall would take no form. Going back in time didn't turn it off, so the wall's still not there.

That's how I see it, anyway. ;)

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Hi no Seijin

I think you should only get the spells as a kid.  Takes care of the time problem nicely.

Whats the problem of getting it as an adult?  :-\

Fishalicious

You just don't get it.

Adults are not capable of magic.

iastreb

What are supposed to be the Light Arrows then  ;) Its better being a kid but... the facts are facts  :D

Fishalicious

Adults do not believe in magic.

the light arrows are just shiny.

And Zelda is a clown. I'm 14 years old and I freakin' believe in magic! And told tell me I'm a kid!  :o

The thing is, though, I believe the Gamecube version of OOT is a direct port of the original game. Essentially, you're playing the game on an emulator. The only way to find out for sure would be to have someone play the Nintendo 64 version of the game.
What, you expect me to say something witty?

Hi no Seijin

I suppose I could do that.

As for Mark, Fisk is kidding around.  And I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying.  Remember how you can't get Nayru's Love as a kid if you got it as an adult and how paradoxical it is?  If you can only get Din's Fire, Farore's Wind, and Nayru's Love as Child Link, the paradox goes away because if you got it as a child, then you can't get it as an adult.

I am not joking around, HNS.

children have little... things in them. sparkly things.

they are magics.

I don't see a difference. If both original releases and emulators run on eventing, then both should utilize switches to function. Otherwise, you'll just get a game in which you can go anywhere without getting Medallions or something like that...

That's why someone needs to check out a Nintendo 64 copy of OOT. Then we can find out if the original game is like that or maybe it's an emulation error. I'm thinking it's the latter.

And so what? Think it in this way. if a n00b that has buyed OoT last week didn't get Dins Fire, Farore Wind and Nayrus love as a child, whats the problem of getting them as an adult?  ;) Its just a bug.
