I'm looking to turn that into something decent looking. Originally I flirted with using MSPaint, but that would contradict my original aim. Anyone know of any other programs that might help? That's supposed to be a game map for a Final Fantasy Sim/RPG a few colleagues and myself are brainstorming, if you're curious.

Photoshop, but that's expensive.

OpenCanvas is free, methinks; I just have to find the right links, and I'm lazy. Also, we have a Synthesis of Imagery section for this sort of stuff.
