My newest work: A hybrid game console consisting of a Sega Saturn inside a Sega Genesis (Model 1) shell.

This particular model has the advantage of having a headphone jack on the console itself, which allows you to enjoy the Saturn's crystal-clear high-quality audio output on a more personal level.

Comments? Constructive criticism? All are welcome.
What, you expect me to say something witty?

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Thanks! That's just what I was going for, so I'm glad you think so.

So the cartridge goes through the same place the disc goes?

Twilight Wolf

You know, I never really thought about where the cartridge would go... It could go in the CD tray, but some games require a cartridge of some sort to be played. "Sega Touring Car Championship" is a good example: saving the game takes up more memory than the Saturn's entire internal memory can provide (over 1000 blocks for a single game!) and thus needs a backup cartridge to save the game. Netlink games need the cartridge slot for... well, the Netlink. I thought maybe cartridges would go in the back, but that's really inconvenient, especially since that's where you have to connect everything. Then I thought maybe the side of the console, where the Genesis's expansion port is, but that'd also be a bit inconvenient, not to mention unsightly (who wants to use a game console that looks like it has a tumor?). Besides, it's a bit too Intellevision for my liking.

Man, I like the basic design, but lacking a cartridge port really screws things up.
