I am about to start a game of FEAR, which is supposedly one of the creepiest games of all time. I can't wait. What do you all think are some of the scariest/creepiest/most macabre games of all time?

Fisk, I know you're going to say the Silent Hill series, don't bother. <3

"Enemy Zero" was pretty damned creepy. Got my heart racing more than once, I can tell you that. Having to use a dead shipmate's severed fingers to open a door with a fingerprint lock, for example, was a bit unnerving.

I don't play a lot of scary games, but there are some games I played when I was younger that scare me now because I remember being scared back then.

When I was about 5 or 6 I played Doom, which ever since has really scared me, not the new ones but the original Doom with the awful blocky graphics, it still just really freaks me out.
About the same time I also played Tomb Raider I, and the music terrified me. If I hear it today I still jump.

So I'm a lot more scared of games that were around when i was little, even ones that weren't meant to be scary, compared to games around now which are more realistically creepy.

The ReDeads in OoT, MM, and TWW creeped me out quite a bit, actually... >.>

Dude- Fear is insane. My friend Dave and I played it- more like he played it, and I watched from an adjacent corner in the room trembling like a tiny chihuahua.

In seriousness, try Fatal Frame. :V

UM. I actually... can't play Silent Hill 4 alone, or play Luigi's Mansion/the ghost level in Super Mario 64/the Ghost Ship in Okami/etc. because I'm actually really afraid of ghosts. It's a little silly, I guess- I can run through most horror games shootin' down zombies, dogs, zombie babies, etc. but the second ghosts get involved I get cold feet.

I've heard that FEAR, DOOM, and Silent Hill are all pretty hardcore creep shows. The new Deadspace game is supposed to be pretty creepy as well.

We have a Buffy the Vampie Slayer game. I don't know why. It's not scary, but it tries so hard to be that it's...kind of funny. In the pathetic way.

Eternal Darkness. Yeah, I forgot that one. A friend of mine loves it, I've never played much more than 5 minutes of it- I didn't find it very scary but idk.

Well, I'm not much for survival horror games, but this one time while I was playing OoT, I was heading up to Death Mountain Crater, and this tektite that jumped from a ledge above scared the crap out of me.
