In all fairness, there hasn't been much more news about Zelda other than Spirit Tracks as of late, so other than any topics of that and the WWZG articles, we can't expect to see really in-depth discussions about it for a little while now. Theories about past games, though, are a great exception to this observation...

On the other hand, if there's discussion about Pokemon in the Chatboard, then so be it. Even if it's just spam, it's what the Chatboard is for. Two GD topics about it may be a little much, however, so if I see them up at the same time in the same forum, I'll just merge them.

The two pokemon Topics that are up are different things.

The platinum one is practically dead, and the news one is just some exciting news.

I'm not really all that Psyched about the new Zelda game, I think nothing can live up to the bar ALttP/OoT set.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa.  This is, first and foremost a Zelda fansite.  For Zelda fans.  These forums are for people with common interests, not for people who aren't allowed to talk about anything but Zelda.  If a topic doesn't receive many posts, then guess what?  It's just not that engaging.  Don't for a second think that just because this is a Zelda site, you're limited to Zelda-related topics.

Now, that said, our Zelda sections are a bit lacking and/or dying right about now, but to be honest they have their ebbs and flows, much like any other section of any other forum.

Yeah well, I would have read them. I love theories, they make you think. It's kinda like...Idk how to explain it. But I would have read them. I even posted a theory about Termina being flooded, but no one ever replied to that.  :P... I think I posted it....last year, a while before Halloween, I htink...

Dude, you never know unless you try. I post everything, even if I know people won't reply. Sometimes they surprise me.

I'd be happy to talk about Zelda, anytime you want, if you want.

It is indeed sad that the Zelda sections are lacking, I guess it is up to everyone to commit to contributing just a bit every now and then.

I can't think of that right now, but if there was a topic about, say, Barney, and if I hated that particular show, I wouldn't petition to get the topic removed, I would simply not read it.  You would do well to do the same.

But if everyone started making many topics across the forums? Changed their sigs to it? Never stopped talking about it in the Chatboard? You know you would at least say something. This is not a petition, I'm just asking nicely that we try and talk about something other than Pokemon all the time. We could talk about so many other things.

If that's so, why must we only talk about Pokemon and spam? When was the last time you saw a good, insightful post in the Chatboard?

Simply because topics go awry does not mean they lose all of their merit.  Although I see where you're coming from, I urge you to look at all sides of the situation.

HH, I do see where you're coming from, but you can't force a whole forum to do what you want. Not unless you're an admin. And even if you were an admin, you would have powers to threaten people with but then you'd be abusing your powers and you wouldn't be doing your job right. I do agree with Tacheon, you should look at it from all sides of the situation.

And Pokemon is the only game a lot of us are playing right now. What do you want us to do, stfu about it and not let us have fun?

Maybe if there was a new, good, wifi Zelda game, then yes, we would be talking and posting about it everywhere (like we did about Twilight Princess when I was a n00b here). But Platinum is probably the newest and most fun game we have right now. It's a really great way to interact with the members of TDC, since it has voice chat.

That's quite impossible for me, seeing as I have never truly been on that side of things. However, I see what you mean.

Please try to remember, this not an order, petition, or demand. I'm simply asking nicely if we could cut down on the Pokemon. Not stop talking about completely or ban it from the forums, just don't talk about it more than anything else. Because when you do this, not only are not including people like me (if there's anyone else here who doesn't like pokemon, which I doubt), you are also taking away from other topics by ignoring them.

A prime example of what I mean. How do you think I feel when you say that? I hate pokemon. Yet everyone else on the forums seems to love it, right along with Kingdom Hearts (I'm not even gonna get started with that). When you get into deep conversation about it and constantly say things like that, it gets me very angry. I tried to ignore it but it didn't stop, so I tried to settle it peacefully. I see now it won't work. Hence the reason the topics titled "Enough is Enough".
