I'm in the midst of the college process, mates.

Pretty nervous, letters will be going out soon and I doubt I'll get in where I want. Shika will be near me though, apparently. /voyeur

Anyway. who else is applying places and where? I got these so far on my list:

1- LeMoyne
2- Hunter College
3- College of Staten Island
4- City College (redundant names ftw, guess where it's located?)
5- St. John's University (Queens Branch)
6- Johns Hopkins (lol, yeah right. So not getting in..)
7- Stony Brook University (a stony brook would be painful.. it's an omen..)

I've got a 2060 SAT, so I thinjk I'm okay.. comfort and halp?  :-*

It wont be as bad as you think.  If you have decent grades you will get in somewhere. haha.

I promise you will feel a lot less stressed soonish. =]

DW

GO TO STATEN ISLAND

Or at least somewhere still in New York. I don't want to have to grow up completely yet.

MSU.

DW and I command it. XD

wait... do the two of you go to the same school or something?
How did I miss that memo?

Man, once you hit 21, a lot of crap starts just popping up out of nowhere. It's that process of growing up that just makes you realize that there's a lot more out there in the world.

Yes, we do. But I don't think I've seen him in person yet. :P

Is MSU Michigan state University? That's like 50 miles away! Screw that!

Farthest I go is like. Rhode Island. Near staten island. I like it here...

It's more like 500+ miles away.  Just a short drive away.

You are smart for trying to stay close to home, especially if you are staying within your state.  You don't want to have to deal with out-of-state tuition if you can help it.

MagmarFire

Even though dorm costs negate that, I think. Unless he chooses to commute within a few miles from campus, that is.

I live really close to a lot of these! If you go to Stony Brook I could meet up with you when my bro goes to visit his friend Justin!  ;D

MasterKeyX

Well I'm not there yet! Someday soon!

I hope to go to school in New York. The price raises from $5000 at a CUNY (city university of new york) to $15000 elsewhere simply because I'm not a state resident.

You know, I don't know something: Why the heck do they make the tuition greater for people who live outside the state, anyway? Insight, anyone?

DW

Public universities get some money from the state government, which gets the money from the state's taxpayers. So basically, it's like a discount because you've already given money to the school.

MagmarFire

But aren't you assuming that you would be a taxpayer at all during that age?
