Super Mario Chess Set

I found that in Barnes and Noble today.  The pieces in that first picture are all set up correctly, except for Bowser and Bowser Jr.; Bowser should be in the King's starting square, and Bowser Jr. should be in the Queen's starting square.

I'd have thought Peach would take the role of Queen; why they gave it to Luigi I don't know.  Maybe he's Mario's secret incestuous homosexual lover.
