They actually replace swear words with "smurf" in the movie, apparently. Like how cussing in Fantastic Mr. Fox was simply rendered with "cuss," except this time it isn't funny.

A friend of mine did a brilliant parody of this with that one line from Heathers. (Anyone who has seen it will know the line I'm talking about.)
