Dogura had been blocked a bit too easily, and this angered him. Being swatted away, like some sort of pest... None the less, it was over, and it was time to treat wounded soldiers. Rose was one step ahead of the Vagabond. Dogura was silent, and awaited further directions. He found no words to say.

Pyre sighed as the battle ended. He was relieved that they had taken few injuries, and those pains had been healed. A slight smile crossed the teenagers face, and he streched, before looking back at Rose. "So.... what are we supposed to do now. It seems obvious that the draconic general is around here somewhere." The hylian looked at Dogura. "Any ideas?"

He slid his daggers back into their sheathes, and looked around the area. Everything seemed so calm after the battle, and it was a strange transition. It was like nothing happened at all....

From a distance he could hear the anguished sounds of a quick battle. This almost caused the nomad to rethink his slow pace as he travelled across the flats, but no sooner than he became alert did the noises die away. He stepped into the small gathering and smiled wryly, shaking his head in disappointment that he had been too late to knock off a filthy bone or lizard man.

The first words that were actually comprehensive to him was Firerova's squirrel comment, and Blank looked curiously at the ex-General's shoulder. An eyebrow raised and he wondered what the Gerudo was talking. Probably some old Gerudic humor he thought to himself, rather than voicing his wonder in front of the strange tempermental woman whom he was already certain would be furious with him.

The Hylian folded his arms and gave the group a tired smile, and remained silent for a moment. Finally, overwhelmed by wonder and desire to get moving, he spoke up. "So, any signs of the Draconic General? Looks like he knows our location... we'd better get to work on finding his."

OOC: Guys, there really is a squirrel on Rose's shoulder. Do you not know how to respond to squirrels being in an area they aren't supposed to be in? Anywho, I'm just going to spout out some crap because I really have no clue what I'm doing at this point. Maybe the next time I post here, I'll have some bearing and actually take you guys somewhere. Then again, I was hoping that South Hyrule would've been opened after this, but it still looks like it's a long way off, so we may be delayed until S. Hyrule finally opens.

IC:
"Do you not see the bloody squirrel?!" Firerova nearly shouted.

"Is she always that loud?" the squirrel asked, looking up at Rose.

Firerova's mouth dropped as Rose said, "I think only when she's around Dogura." She pointed out the samurai. "This is Firerova, Icerova, Pyralin, and Blank." She gestured to each person as she said their name.

"To answer you're question, Blank," Icerova interrupted, "no, we haven't seen any signs other than a Stalfos and a Lizalfos. And that's what we're trying to do. Perhaps this squirrel can help us?"

"I'm afraid us sniper squirrels have been ordered to stay out of your battles," the squirrel replied. "My mission was to tell you what we know of the Draconic General. Although Rose could probably tell you about him."

"I don't know about the Draconic General," Rose said. "I only know that he's after me for some reason."

"That some reason may be because you disgraced his mother and grandparents, and probably now that he thinks you killed his mother."

Rose frowned. "I'm not resposible for many deaths, and of those few none of them were women. And the only people I can think of that I could've disgraced are....Din's Fire. Onox? My nephew?"

The hylian looked curiously at the animal perched upon Rose's shoulder, before thinking dryly to himself, sniper squirel.... Pyre ended up giving it up. He was becoming accustomed to seeing strange things these days. If the squirel had information, it would still be valuble, no matter what kind of creature it was.

He decided to ask the animal directly, and could not deny his curiosity on the subject. "So what can you tell us about the general. Any information you have, we would be happy to know." The party really had no goal at the moment. No physical place they were heading for. It was like walking around blind, with the Draconic General taunting us from beyond touch, and for Pyre, it was rather annoying. It was past time to shed some light on the subject.

OOC: Um, sorry about the delay. I really have no clue what I'm doing. Guess I'll stop teasing you and have Rose say what she knows about Onox. And then I'll lay down some random destination, but take a while to actually post it. I'll PM you all when I'm ready to move on. Hopefully, it won't be long.

IC:
"Onox is definitely no general," Rose said. "His mother and grandparents were leaders of a plot to overthrow the Tarm Kingdom around ten years ago, when I was just made a general. Doyle and I were forced to meet them in Labrynna, where they tried to kill both of us, but I managed to stop them. Luckily, the sucked at fighting, and they assassin they hired was only slightly better than they. We let their crime be punished by Labrynnan court of law. I haven't heard of them since, and I definitely won't hear news of them now that I'm here in this Hyrule.

"However, Onox was only a little bit into his teenage years when this happened. He wasn't sent to prison with Veran, his mother. I don't know what happened to him. He didn't seem like he'd be able to survive on his own; he was a scrawny kid. Then again, I treked for a fortnight to get from Labrynna to Holodrum when I was six, so who knows?

"Anyway, before I came here, Veran had no magical powers. At least that I knew of. If she stumbled upon some kind of hidden power, I wouldn't be surprised that Onox did also."

"He's not scrawny anymore," the squirrel said. "If he was, he wouldn't be able to wear all that heavy armor. It slows him down, but with that mace, he doesn't need to get too close to you to hurt you. Of course, you need to get close to him to hurt him, and he's quite good with using his mace with one arm while wielding a shortsword in the other. That's about all we know about him. That, and we last saw him making his way past Rauru Town to get to South Hyrule."

Icerova frowned. "The passage there is impassable," she said. "The only way through is a small gap, and that's been blocked off. The same with all other passages to South Hyrule. We'd have to wait for them to be opened."

"So we go to Rauru Town and wait for that boulder to be moved," Firerova replied. "While we're at it, we can leave the drunkard and the idiot behind." She jerked her head towards Blank and Dogura. "We can bring the kid with us. He actually seems to be of some use. Maybe we'll find someone better to replace the other two."

Icerova glared at her twin, and the latter shut her mouth. "Heading to Rauru seems to be the best plan of action we have now," the blue haired Gerudo said.

"I don't know what else to do," Rose agreed. "What do you guys say?" She looked at the three Hylians who had accompanied her so far.

Pyre listened carefully to the conversation, and mulled over it for a moment before responding to the open question. He wasn't quite sure. Who knew how long it would take for a passage to the south to be opened up. The hylian decided that they didn't have much choice.

"I guess we'll have to go to Rauru. We may even run into the general before he makes it to the south. Then we wouldn't have to wait."

The ranger looked over at Blank and Dogura, waiting to see if they had anything to add. He didn't like to act without a plan already thought out, but there didn't seem to be much else to do. If the general was out of reach, so be it, and if they found him in the east, that would be fine as well.

Dogura stood up, and grasped his hilt. It took the remaining nerves in Dogura's body to not to draw the sword and unleash a bloody retribution to Fireova's spiteful words. "Now you listen here you. As far as I've traveled with you so far, we have not gotten along in any sense of the term. Your behavior as of late has been deplorable, and I won't stand for it any longer. I am in no instance an alcohalic, nor is Mr.Fireside here, an idiot." Dogura finally let go of his hilt, and bit his lip, obviously holding back what he really felt. "Now I believe you owe Blank and I an apology. If we're going to work as a team, we need to act as a family." Dogura let out a deep breath, and turned his head sharply to Rose. "If you wish for me to proceed any further, tell your friend here to mind her manners. Otherwise, consider me gone."

Before Blank could say anything, Firerova opened her mouth to give a particularly nasty retort to Dogura. But before any sound could escape her lips, Icerova said angrily, "Haru Veilmist, that is enough! I have been patient with you, but now I've had it. If you can't say anything with insulting them, then don't speak at all!" Her final words seemed to be laced with magic, and Firerova knew that it was indeed a spell. She only looked at her sister angrily before storming down the mountain. "I'll follow her," Icerova said, calmer than before. "Meet you all in Rauru." She jogged to catch up with Firerova.

During the outburst, Rose had winced and turned around. She nodded as Icerova told them she was going to follow her sister and said in Gerudic, "Be careful." To the others, she said in Common, "Get to sleep, everyone. I'll keep watch for tonight."

"I better get going," the squirrel said. "Good luck, Rose." The human nodded as the squirrel jumped off her shoulder and ran off.

OOC: Okay, guys, that ends this part of Draconic General. Eventually, I'll put up the next part in Rauru Town. I have no clue when that will be. :p

I'll PM you all when it's up.

And then I'll provide a link, mostly for ZV, who seems to be having trouble getting to Rauru Town. <a href=http://desertcolossus.com/adventures/vi ... 8>Draconic General: At the Melodic Bard Tavern</a>
