Eyes chasing after the source of the boulder, Rosen met his gaze with the abyss that was an octorok's snout. It seemed as if only malice could ooze from such a gruesome olfactory. Surely all the evil in the world might spew out and taint this world should such a creature sneeze and Rosen being of venerable stature was sure to make it that no Octorok would ever sneeze again for he was about to smother all villains with a blanket that might act as an earthly grave.
Ballet became a suitable simile for his motions as he moved with elegance and grace towards his first victim, raising his swords high into the air as if the carve out the rays of the sun and send them careening into the cadaver whose movements betrayed him. With a a visceral yell that bellowed all the sounds of his stomach's churning lunch he laid waste to his enemy, hopefully.

The mercenary was knocked off his feet by the stony projectile. It took him a few seconds to catch his breath after the crushing blow to his stomach, but he staggered to his feet once the paralysis had let his limbs be. As he rose, he drew his blade; he was too close for bombing now. Besides, his Hylian eyes picked up a new figure rushing forward--Alpha? He moved too fast to be sure, but either way it looked like he was readying magic.
One of the tektites hasn't been wounded yet...if I can wound the last one, perhaps an Elemental Explosion could wipe them all out in one shot.
Eyeing the spider-like creatures hopping about madly, Sabertache decided against using his sword after all. It would be much easier, he thought, to catch it offguard with a sudden blast of fire than to try and strike it from the front with his blade. With this goal in mind, he began to run a loop around the tektite, sword raised as if to strike, with his left hand nursing all the magical energy he could excrete in the middle of battle. Leaping forward, he feinted a stab at the tektite with his sword while releasing a blast of fire directly above it's position, hoping it would jump straight into the spell. [Fire] [Tektite 3]

The large rock shattered on the Goron's chest, sending him back a few steps. The Big Octo must not have taken too kindly to the comment about eating them for dinner that night. Now he was an angry Goron, and he while the Octo might not have liked the comment made by Shigure, Shigure himself surely didn't like being hit with a rock. "Alright, monster. Let's see how you like it!" Shigure slowly began his approach to the tentacled monster, spinning his chains as he picked up speed.
Nearly at top speed, he got close enough to the creature to whip his chains around at full velocity. He calculated it out in his head; the monsters were squishy on the inside as well as the outside. If he could slam the creature hard enough to break its ribs and make its lungs collapse, then it would surely die soon after. He was fuming mad, and wanted nothing more than to strike the Octo back for more damage than he'd been stricken for. He brought both of his chains around the creatures side, massive wrecking balls both following at the ends. It was time for some destruction.

The Nature Elemental Explosion exploded across the field, and when it faded, nearly all the monsters were left standing--only one Tektite had succumbed to the blast. (OOC: They all rolled above 15 for the most part...it was terrifying ) Rosen's attack, however, catches the Big Octo off guard, dealing a crushing 30 DMG with the twin blades. Saber's ploy works somewhat, his Fire spell merely grazing the leaping tektite for 9 DMG. Shigure also manages to hit his target for a hefty 30 DMG, sending it spinning. While spinning, the octo fired a round back at the Goron, but its aim was off. Rosen also managed to sidestep his attacker's blow. The remaining Octo, however, had still not taken his eyes from Sabertache. However, the nimble mercenary manages to avoid damage yet again. The boulder did, however, cause the burned tektite to miss its revenge strike as well, and the nomad escaped yet more harm. The remaining tektites took shots at Alpha and Darilan, both of them landing on their respective targets and dealing 8 DMG.

It stood about his beard, a dancing flame that ran down the auburn and alabaster cascades as a lit fuse courted a bomb huddled closely to his chest. With an air of professionalism sweeping across the emerald floor that gave off a glimmer, a small glimpse into a nimble ending to a most superfluous battle, Rosen tossed the bomb between the octoroks. By all means, one was sure to survive but hopefully the two whose breath were short pants might find themselves counting their last.
Needless to say, a goron of such age was already feeling the weight on his shoulders from pushing to hard or perhaps it was just the sun whose checkered canopy embroidered a mass too heavy for him to bare. In any case, one can only do so much.

Well, the attack didn't succeed fully, but that was no reason to be discouraged. Sabertache still had enough in him for another attack, and the tektite was weakened now...yelling, the mercenary charged forward, leaping bodily at the tektite while hurling another fire spell towards it. Shigure let loose a might roar of Goronic proportions before bringing one of his weapons around to shatter the projectile that was launched in his direction. The dazed Octo was nearly dead, and would be off balance for a bit- long enough for someone to save him the trouble of actually killing it. Instead, he turned his attention to the unharmed Big Octo. It had yet to be licked by the flames of war, and Shigure decided that it was time for the creature to feel the burn. It was quite a distance away, and so he did the best thing he knew how. He wrapped the chains around himself, and curled into a large boulder. A screech sound could be heard as he took off rolling towards the creature. With the brute force of an unstoppable boulder, he hurled himself in the direction of Big Octo #2.

Darilan almost lost his balance when the Tektite blasted into him. He wasn't in the mood to take any crap today, especially from a giant crab-spider-thing. He regained his footing, then ran after it with his staff, ready to deliver what would surely be a death blow if the attack landed. Alpha grimaced at the failure of his magic, a word that had not been used to describe it in some time. 'I expected the Octos to survive and maybe even avoid it, but the Tektites too?!' He set his jaw, throwing off the Tektite attack as though he hadn't even noticed the annoyance, and drew his staff from beneath his cape. If magic was something that he could not count on, his physical skills as a Sheikah would have to be put to the test instead -- his faithful staff would be the weapon of the day.

Eyeing the direction of most of the other attackers, the caped man narrowed down his options -- let the others deal with the small annoyances; he would go after the big game and finish them now. A bomb was already flying towards that group; he decided to let that blast go after the two injured Octo monstrosities. Instead he targeted the same beast as Shigure and leapt forward, tearing through the wind and the battlefield as he neared his chosen prey. Staff in hand, he brought it up and over his head, then smash it downward with all his might onto the beast's head. [Staff - Big Octo #2] [9 WILL]

Rosen's bomb does wind up being effective--finally, something goes right. His explosive takes out an Octo and a Tektite, though the rest of the monsters escape harm. A shiny red rupee is left in the Octo's place. (+20 rupees to Rosen) Yet another Tektite is vanquished as Sabertache's flames engulf him, and it falls to the ground smoldering. Shigure's attack is stopped dead in its tracks by the Octo's counterattack, blasting a rock into the Goron for 18 DMG. As Darilan concusses the last remaining Tektite to death, Alpha gives his target a headache of its own, his own staff cracking into the Octo's sizable noggin for 10 DMG. The other Octo blasted a rock at the Sheikah, colliding into the distracted Mage and dealing 18 DMG to Alpha.

Shigure felt the blast hit him, but he didn't know exactly how hard it had hit him- that is until he was plummeting to earth. He hit the ground uncurling upon impact, and he lie there for a few moments dazed and confused.
Must have been one a' them damn Big Octos... Nothing else in sight could stop my attack, or pack such a punch...
Shigure got back to his feet with a Goronic groan, and took a knee for a moment contemplating a strategy. Big Octo #3 was nearly dead. The other adventurers would be able to finish it off with him muscling in. The only viable target was the Big Octo. However fearful he was of getting close to it again, it was his chosen path as a physical fighter.

"You can wreck my body all you want. My spirit remains intact." He stated towards the monster. With the end of this sentence, he began swinging his weapons again as he started his long run towards his enemy. The ground thundered under his massive body as he got close enough to swing both of his weapons, this time hopefully for a hit.

The smirk that resulted from a clean strike on the Octo lasted only an instant -- just long enough for the joy to register and then be dashed by the boulder that crashed into the Sheikah's side. He was hurled away from his target and rolled several feet on the ground before shooting back to his feet, the smirk replaced by a face of anger. Idiotic creature of Ganon . . . he vowed to end it right then and there. Well, at least he hoped he could end it.
Gripping his staff once more, Alpha bolted forward towards the beast that had struck him, ignoring the pain shooting up his side from where the impact had hit. He got as close as he could to the Big Octo before leaping into the air, trying to bring down the staff on a mighty blow that would finish this creature off. [Staff -- Big Octo #3]

Well, I definitely don't have another one of those in me.
Feeling the drain that came from overusing his magic, Sabertache had to take a few precious seconds to refocus, surveying the field and gaining back his bearings. One of the Octos was still hassling his allies pretty thoroughly and refused to be wounded. These creatures may be close to impenetrable, but every attack was at least a chance. This in mind, Sabertache began the long jaunt towards Shigure's target, getting low as he ran. When he neared the beast, he leapt upwards, using his coiled legs to increase his sword's speed as he slashes upward at the stubborn beast.

Darilan took some time to study his target and realized that he would probably be more likely to hit it with a magical attack. Risking taking a hit and not being prepared for it, he focused his mind on the weakened Big Octo. He imagined it bursting into flames or being struck by multiple bolts of lightning. Perhaps his words fueled himself, or perhaps it was just the immense strength of the Gorons, but Shigure dropped the Octo dead on the spot with a perfect strike. The remaining Octo's skin was able to resist Alpha's staff, and Saber's sword didn't fair any better against the giant creature. Darilan's Burst took the form of water, splashing harmlessly against his target's body. The Octo fired back at the Scribe, nailing the Sheikah in the gut for 18 DMG with a fairly large rock.
