Saber jumpes back and yelled angrily as the man took his flower without asking, and would have said something about it if a vial hadn't just as suddenly been thrusted into his hand. Blinking at the strange liquid inside the container, he saw Hiro gulp it down beside him, and decided to do the same--Remember kids, always give in to peer pressure!
He felt a burning inside him, and thought it poison, until a few more people burst in shouting statements that he eventually pieced together to discover that the 'poison' was actually an antidote. Tricky, no?

Brin rushes to the scene, sweating and out of breath. He looks as if he dashed all of the way from North Castle Town. He bursts in late as the mayor is partway through explaining the mission to the other adventurers. When the mayor finishes, Brin rifles around in his pack for something. He draws out an old, dried red flower.
"I found this a long time ago during my travels," he explains. "I thought it might come in handy sometime. And I guess I was right." Brin hands the flower to the mayor.

The mayor is jolted out of his slumber as he hears more people hitting the door to his office and walking in rather loudly. He raises his head in disgust, mumbling incoherent babbling about adventurers and lack of manners, taking rather a while to understand exactly what they're telling him. Immense hangover, one would conclude. As he notices them with the fabled rare flower in their grasp, he, between beastly grunts presses a button on his desk. Moments later, a Hylian robed in white and with the symbols of the goddesses carefully printed into his uniform entered the room carrying a large amount of vials with a red content inside - the antivenom produced from those plants. Grabbing three, the cleric hands them to the adventurers in exchange for their flowers, exiting the room quietly afterwards.
"There you go," the mayor says after a few moments. "We're just waiting for the Hylian Knights to do the first scouting, and your... assistance... will be accepted soon. Now just go and leave me alone!" - he grunts, before the light-headed feeling settles in once more and he falls asleep once more. Now would be a good time to drink the potion... and as you do so, a strange sensation of flame and burning invades your body for a few moments - pain settling in - before vanishing as fast as it appeared, having gained new defenses.
Goncorgoro, Tatsu, and Brin are now immune to Gohma's poison.

OOC: Well, I finally got around to signing up for this thing. Now lets make this a spicy meatball! -err... post.
IC:
It wasn't particularly chance that lead the man up the path, nor was it coincidence. Of a strange happening, or a common task, the vagabond has lost something dear to him. His feathered friend. It seemed that whenever there was silence for more than five minutes among the two travelers, the avionic mage had stopped to read something of absolutely no relevance to either of their lives. The samurai trudged back up the path that he had previously descended, removing his hand from a leather glove that had encased it. The breeze caressed his hand, and he placed it back into the glove.
Known as none other than Dogura, the purple haired samurai reached the sign that read "Welcome to Ruto". The vagabond spat on the side of the road, and returned to the crowd. Convincing himself again and again that he would fix Darkin's wagon once and for all, he searched up and down the streets for the mage, but his search bore no fruit. Finally, the samurai began to enter buildings in his search. A time or two, he pondered at why he wanted so badly to find his friend. He knew full well that he would just end up searching again. Maybe not today, nor tomorrow. But inevitably, they would be separated again. Dogura pushed the door of a nearby building open, and stepped inside.
Immediately, he knew something large was happening. The office was a bit too crowded for no important matter to be at hand. Instinctively, the vagabond made his way to the center of the room, and stared down at the man before him. The man was piss-drunk stupid, and was in no condition to be managing a town. Dogura cocked an eyebrow, and looked around the room, peering into a few minds to gain information. Dogura suddenly lurched backward as the information struck him. The samurai spoke aloud to the drunken mayor, "Is it true? Are we really preparing to fight off the Ghoma?!"
The excitement in the samurai's voice was that of a forgotten tone... for so many years, he had been trapped here in the Northern regions... fighting Ghoma meant that he wouldn't have to wait for construction to end down in Rauru Town's pass. The samurai already knew the requirements, and happened to have that very flower on his person. Being a scientist, ingredients like this rare Parapa flower were key to certain experiments. Dogura however, breeds rare vegetation in his lab, and always has things handy. Reaching into his satchel, he removed the contents. A flower rested in his gloved hand. "Here's the flower, that is if you're sober enough to understand me." The ranger rolled his eyes.
Perhaps he had already forgotten about Darkin?

"Hah, got it!" Arrika said triumphantly, thrusting the flowers in the Mayor's face. Never mind being rude; he deserved it. "Eh?" It appears that the mayor had fallen asleep again. "What are you smoking!?" The Sheikah asked incredelously.

After the initial burning feeling subsided Arrika looked around, expecting something flashier to happen. "You feel any different, Sakiko? Whatever, I'm off," the Sheikah said before leaving. "Gonna go party before I die valiantly saving Hyrule by killing that Gohma," she joked as she closed the door behind her.

Tayro shrugged. His cloak was filled with desert sand, his face lavished in sweat, his skin scratched and pierced in some places by small spikes, his hands carrying a red plant of a strange radiance, whose smell was already getting into his nerves. Definitely not one of my best days. - he remarked inwardly as he moved on into the main office, remembering the trials he had to overcome to just get this damned plant. He didn't care for the wooden door's condition after this, slamming it as he entered the office, just to step back one moment later due to the high alcoholic concentration in the air, which already made him nausea. And I thought the plant smelled pretty bad... - came the extra thought, as he mentally forced himself to move onwards into the office, disgust clearly shown in his face. "Here you go." - he managed to say without coughing - "Now where's my antivenom, please?" - he inquired quickly, in case the Mayor of Ruto didn't think twice upon his decision... it had happened before.
As he waited for a reaction from the drunken politician, the teenager's mind started trailing back into the events a few hours ago under the scorching sun of Parapa, to that moment in which he trailed once more into those sands he loathed as to get some sort of plant to create an antidote for Gohma's venom, just because the Mayor was too lazy to do it himself. It had been the fourth or fifth time - he could no longer recollect nor had the desire to - that he traversed this immense sea of dunes, fourth or fifth time sand entered into every inch of his clothing, into his cloak, shoes, and shirt. And only after a while did the junior mage actually find the lone large cactus, after being deceived by many sun-created mirages before, and then his Nature spell apparently backfired. As his ritual proceeded as usual, and the Nature Elemental Burst brought forth the wind to snap and bring back the plant, so did it bring as well many of the cacti spikes on the area, getting severe lashes all around his body as a result. The only good thing that happened to him at the time was finding that nice little hole in the Parapa Settlement, much like Alpha's Void in which he had travelled before. It was not the first time he had used the Rift to his advantage, but the first in which he found out that there was actually one in this lonely desert - that made his return trip much faster.
One thing he was sure now... no more would he be called a delivery boy. No more.

Hernandi walked into the mayor's office, wondering where the man could be, until he looked down saw him sawing logs on his desk. He could not believe that this drunk was the mayor of this town, such behavior from an offical wouldn't have been tolerated in his home.
Since the Zora wasn't really in the mood to wait for him to wake, he decided to take the matter into his own hands. Hernandi took out his boomerang, and gave the mayor sharp whack with the flat side of the weapon, just hard enough to wake him up (and slightly punish him for his poor conduct), while not damaging what little part of his brain hadn't been poisoned by alchohol.
Hernandi presented the red flower, hoping the antidote would still work on a non-humanoid being.
