Thank you, RG. Now, for my vote I chose. Eenie meenie minie moh. I chose Victor for having a story that doesn't really take the whole I must take revenge because of some evil dude who killed his family/town/friends/some other thing that might be worth taking revenge on. It's just...wholesome family fun with a sprinkle of evil shadowy underground group. And October was sort of dull so at least Victor thought of something good. And there wasn't much competition, no offense to those trying to win for Oct.

I agree with Julian; Victor gets my vote.

I'll second that. Victor was one of the most active this month, and he pitches out (big) posts at an amazing speed.

I must say that I am ashamed of myself for this past month. My writing is really starting to suck (God, I hope that gets better soon) and it has been taking forever to get my ideas written out in a way that is presentable and makes sense. I hope I can do better for November.

Aw, great. ^_^ I wasn't intending to echo everyone else, so coincidentally, but I vote for Victor this month as well. Really, it's not peer pressure! Ever since the William/Victor/Arco conversation in the OC, I found myself going, "Whoa! The way he worded that... my goodness."

And yes, he has been particularly active as of late, something that I've seen, seeing that of the few threads that I'm actually alive in, he is as well (sorry Darilan, I wish I've been following yours more closely, but from what I've seen with the Goron search and all, the only thing you ever write that "sucks" is your blabs right here about your writing sucking. Seriously! XD If it has room to improve, yes it is!)

Finally, Victor devoted TP to learning a language (well yeah, I know he's not the only one, but still), which to me is a boost to any resume (e.g. elgibility for this award)!

*Sits looking at the computer, mouth agape*

I am... honored. I mean, Alpha, weienw, you've won this contest before, so you must know what it feels like to be voted for for the first time. Granted, I tried pretty hard to get my first topic finished and my second started in October, if only so that I'd have a shimmering light of hope that I'd win best RPer. But I never thought that I'd get three votes in a short amount of time. I mean, I was just posting at Master Search VI a second ago, when my friendly little AIM mail pop up...well, popped up in front of me. Soon enough, I was typing this very post.

Anyways, you don't know what it means to me to get votes for something like this. True, as Julian said, there wasn't much competition this month now that Sheng Long's topic has us stumped. But as I always say (sometimes): "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth!" In other words, I'm not complaining. I've never gotten any votes for anything before, and my accolades for writing don't exactly stretch a mile wide. True, I did win an essay contest way back in 5th grade but... that was 5th grade!

Well, I've ranted and raved quite a bit, haven't I? Yeah, I know. But that's just it: HA2 is like a place where I can disperse all my ranting and raving needs in a more meaningful, fun way. I'm just glad you guys enjoy it.

But again, I digress. I'm gonna vote for... you, ShadowLink13! Weienw is right, you know. You're posts definitely don't suck. And that's only considering what you've done outside of quests! I mean, injecting Wyndisis into Marin's story works really well, and I especially like how you RP Wyndisis; so...evil. You also work Darilan's character very well. I mean, the post at "Goron Coincidence" was masterful. Don't fret; you're RP skills are surely not deteriorating. In fact, they can only become better now that you have your moderator abilities. Unlike wienw, I've posted at every one of your quests, and I have to say that they're pretty good. Especially the fact that you've made so many in such a short time.

So, I think that rightfully justifies a vote for you. For the month of October, I'm voting for ShadowLink13! (By the way, I really don't care if you're moderator or not. In my opinion, anyone who has their own character is elegible for this contest. I don't think the fact that you're a mod makes any difference, and I'm sure everyone else would agree.)

I also wanna vote for Victor as the Shiva searching thing didn't seem like a good story.
On the other part, Victor's story is very attained to his profile and it is actually very exciting. Victor keep up the good work :D

I have to quit being so pessimistic. I guess I did well, and my only problem is that I am addicted to "Madden 06." Damn, if only football games were shorter. One game with five minute quarters is like half an evening. So I figure my only problem has been a lack of focus/participation in this game. I have honestly felt that I am losing Darilan, like I haven't been making him live up to his true character, but I suppose that is my imagination. If not, I can improve.

Victor, thank you very, very much for voting for me. You still deserve it more than me though. If I could, I would also vote you for the most improved RPer here. Your posts went from "i want a cookie" to ... freakin' amazin' man. :D
the Shiva searching thing didn't seem like a good story.
Well, I didn't think it was a good "story" either, as it wasn't meant to be. It is only a part of a story that I felt semi-nescessary to put down. I did it because I wanted to do a little more than send Master Goron (Shiva) a PM saying, "Hey, get down to Wyndisis' HQ; he wants to talk to you."

Well, wello! For October, we've got, what, five votes for Victor (aka kamakaziplumber) and one vote for Darilan. A good month for you both, from what I've seen. And thanks for voting, all.

Congratulations Victor, and enjoy your new TP!

Thanks so much, guys!

You know, I haven't exactly had an orthodox career, and I've wanted more than anything to have your respect. At first, I didn't feel it, but now I feel it, and I can't deny the fact that... you like me, you really like me!

Sorry.... I just had to add that in. :D If you know who said the original version and where it's from, then I hope you're laughing as you read this.

Thanks again!

O.k. What the hell. We've missed two elections. November and December are gone. Royal Guard do you mind pickin' up the pace. I mean, we shouldn't have to remind you to start up the elections. Sorry for sounding a bit pissed but just because there are less active members doesn't mean that you don't have to follow your monthly routine. Once a month, that's all you gotta do. Unless you've got an out of this world excuse, you should be ashamed.

Now, I'll start December's election by voting for umm...Shadowlink13. Your a great writer SL. You've been a constant nominee for this award and I think it's time for you to finally recieve this award and it's not like I'm just saying this, because you really deserve it. While I do wish I could win this prize, it's not my time yet. With all the procrastinating I've been doing, I should be ashamed.

Hey, Shadowlink. Do you think this award for both months that we've missed because I can hardly remember what happened in November?

Ah, yes, the months have passed in what would seem like only an instant. It's actually funny, every time I get an email saying that this topic has gotten a new post, I rush on over to start voting. But then its just some bot posting RANDOM POSTS OF GREAT AMBIGUITY!!

...Sorry, I've been in the habit lately of giving things really corny names like that. Moving on.

So, I won't even bother to change my vote from last time. SL13 gets my vote, too, for pretty much the same reasons I chose before.

Now I'm off to wait patiently for new posts in this topic. *Sigh* HA2 sure has lost some of its original glory... I hope it gets back in step soon!

Yeah, HA2 has gone down with the school year...I was kind of hoping we might get some of our members back over Christmas vacation, but practically nothing happened...and Victor and Julian are the only ones who have bothered to use my NPC's...I thought I left enough unanswered questions about the Goldforce and stuff to get some serious discussions going...

I guess the only way to describe my sadness is with a *Sigh*

Well, I'm voting for Hiro; he's been busy...even if I'm the only one who ever replied to his stuff...

*Sigh*

Maybe we can have a revised system of awarding TP for good RP?

Perhaps a "Notable RP of the Month" award, where one person nominates, and only 2 or 3 others are needed to confirm the vote, making for quicker awardings? Something along the lines of that, also allowing people to 'counter' votes if those aren't any good?

Example:

"Person 1: I nominate ExtremePlayer123
Person 2: I second the nomination
Person 3: Thirded.
Person 4: Fourthed.
Moderator: Congrats ExtremePlayer123"

Just an idea... ^^ Something we can play by ear, since we're a pretty core group.

Yeah, that could work...if the moderators could find the time in their very busy schedule to post a small confirmation. For the love of Zelda, I have a PM that was sent to the Royal Guard on Dec. 17 and no one has yet to reply, let alone read what it's about.

We need to hire new moderators for the game or make voting and confirming a members only thing or maybe the senior members could confirm it.
