"That explains the glowing," Darilan said in response to Alpha. He noted that they were glowing brighter, "And by the looks of it, we don't have much longer."
He did as the mage suggested and ran to attack the Armos that didn't get hit with the arrow. His magic powers would fare better against the stone soldiers than any physical attacks, but he didn't want to waste them so soon. He was a bit hesitant about attacking them, since he figured his staff would shatter to pieces against their strong bodies. Then he remembered that a measly arrow had done the other one harm, so his confidence grew and he attacked without holding back. He went behind the Armos and brought the staff down in a diagonal arch. The staff seemed to move slow, but he put a lot of muscle behind it, well, as much as he could muster. Saber sighed, drawing his blade. "I still think it'd be smarter to just let them explode each other and then come back through...but, if you insist, I suppose leaving you to die isn't a healthy alternative." He felt there was little reason for scorn; he had not refused to fight, merely suggested an alternate course of action.
It took a while to find his target; the Armos were constantly moving, but after a few seconds the mercenary's eyes noticed the shaft sticking out of one. I suppose my target is the other one then.
Shivering at the thought of the vibration he would soon be experiencing, Sabertache began his assault, feet pounding reluctantly towards the stone statue. Wincing, he drew back his blade with both hands on the hilt, swinging as hard as he could at the animated chunk of sediment.

Planting a hand firmly upon the grip, Ryou tugs upon his blade, freeing it from its imprisonment. This isn't going to work...but maybe....if we could find someway to crush them....they'll crush like normal stone...I hope...
"You think...if we could push something heavy onto or into them, we could grind them into dust? Conventional weapons don't appear to be doing any good. It's worth a try."
Sword in hand, Ryou slowly looks over the room, attempting to find something, anything that might be useful. [Awareness Check]

Eberron's constant terrified rolling around the room seems to be the best method of evasive actions. Try as it might, the wrecked Armos Knight is unable to touch the lofty Goron.
It would appear that all of the support techniques implemented by certain party members are paying off, as Alpha is triumphant in getting a blow in on his targeted foe. The Armos groans and strikes back, but misses the quick Sheikah altogether, continuing its rampage further down the room. (Armos Knight1 -13 HP)
Maverick's obedient attack comes nowhere near hitting its target, as just before his staff can make contact the demented enchantment charges out of the way almost randomly. The Calatian need not be worried, however, as the statue's retaliatory strike is likewise unsuccessful.
Now that his panicked evasion has come to an end, Eberron's physical attributes are displayed in a glorious fashion that even the great Dragonbane would deem noteworthy. With all the power of the legendary hero of the Gorons behind him, Eberron is able to smash his fists into the first Armos' body. The glowing ceases, and the statue crumbles into a pile of assorted sized rocks, its threat no longer a burden on the party. (Armos Knight 1 Defeated)
While the first Armos appears to have been disposed of with relative ease by the combined forces of Kagari, Alpha and Eberron, the other adventurers are not having quite so much luck with the second. After Maverick's unsuccessful attack, three more failures follow. Taint, Darilan and Saber are all unable to breach the defenses of the wild Armos Knight. Thankfully, their enemy is equally unsuccessful in its attempts at damaging the intruders.
Again, Ryou in unable to find anything of use in this room. This seems to confirm that the only plausible means of exiting this room will only be found after the Armos threat has been neutralized.
Valens thrusts his sword with great power towards the remaining Armos Knight, breaking past the thick stone and creating a good sized dent in its body. He is also able to escape the statue's vengeful counter attack. (Armos Knight 2 -14 HP)
The Armos statue begins to grow an even brighter shade of red.

Darilan was discouraged that he couldn't harm the Armos, but the destruction of the other one, as well as Valens' successful attack on the surviving Armos gave him new confidence. "Alright, let's smash this one to hell before it can explode," he suggested. He was confident they would succeed; they only needed one or two adventures to hit the Armos where it counted, and with as many people as there were, that shouldn't be a problem. He did as he did the last time, except he swung his staff more quickly, making it invisible for the split second it was in motion. Who knew, the attack might just work, and if it didn't maybe it would leave it open to another person's attack. [Staff on Armos #2]

Guess I have to do this the hard way...Might as well give it a shot. What's to lose.. Quickly closing the distance to the Armos, Ryou brings his blade upwards, then crashing downwards towards its head, anticipating without relish the scraping and grinding which was sure to follow. With a breath, he pushed such thoughts out of his mind, so as to better accomplish the task at hand.

Yeah, that definitely stung. Arms ablaze with a tingly pain, Saber put perhaps more effort into not swearing than he had put into his strike. Luckily, he wasn't harmed, but still...fighting these things was always so damn irritating.
Well, this is our last shot, it seems. I don't know how much longer we have to take this thing down, but I also don't know how anything could possibly get more red than that.
Sighing, he once again took up his blade in both hands, deciding on a different angle of attack. Doing a sort of half-assed spin in the air, he brought his saber down in a vertical chop that would cleave any chunk of firewood in two easily. However, as cruel as Fate was, it never seemed to make any enemies out of wood, especially the Armos. Pity, that.

Not suprised that he missed Abel simply turned to attack what seemed to be the only Armos left. Abel smiled as he thought of the destruction of the beast standing before him and put in another charge attempting to destroy him.

Alpha smirked as his own attack connected in a solid blow, one that lined the target up perfectly for Eberron's punch. Moments later the Goron's fist hits square on, shattering the creature with a satisfying crunching noise to accompany it. Watching the beast crumble away, he feels a smirk pulling on his lips; so far, his plan is working perfec--
Miss.
Miss.
Miss and miss.
Finally, the General manages to get a hit in on the creature, drastically reducing its health - but the Sheikah cringes as he realizes that the Armos is far from defeated. Unbelievable . . . even with the speed buffs provided by his Leadership and Darilan's Epic Poem, these guys still can't hit the darn thing! He can attribute some of the misses to the creature's high defensive skills, but honestly, someone should have gotten past them at some point!
Even with irritation setting in, Alpha knows that unless he can prove to be better, he has no right to criticize them. So with staff in hand he once again charges forward; hopefully his flight will not be necessary, but if it is then he shall endeavor to make it a meaningful one - by slaying this final beast at once. Taint cursed himself into a sailor rant, shooting off all kinds of bad language as his sword bounced once more off of the armos. Lilly couldn't believe the kinds of words that were coming out of the kindly Zora's mouth. Taint screamed once more in frustration, and he charged back at the armos. He had to land at least one hit.
Every time he set out to do something good in these caves, he failed miserably. Tired of the constant blunders, he drove his sword directly into the armos once more, fearing that he might be met with the same unbelievable resilience that the enemies had shown thus far.

One is down, one to go kagari thought. He leveled his aim to the last Armos and targeted it's head. He pulled his bow string back just enough to hit it with some force and not break the bow. He marked this arrow for death. He focused on his taget and then he let go of the string. The arrow shot throw the air at high speeds.

With the exception of the Sheikah scribe, none of the other adventurers need to worry about getting a hit in on the remaining Armos Knight. Darilan redeems himself after his previously failing attack as his stout Deku staff collides with the hard stone foe. A heavy cracking can be heard as the wooden weapon makes impact, and soon several large crack lines are running along the Armos from where the staff had made its mark. The broken statue becomes much more broken as it collapses in a pile of sediments. (Armos Knight 2 Defeated)
Valens rubs his aching body as the commotion dies down and silence takes hold of the room. "Well," he said with a chuckle. "At least no one was hurt during that little scuffle. Ganon should have better updated his catalog of minions in the speed department." The officer neglects to mention his sore bones. He had been the only person present who had been harmed at all.
A clicking sound is heard, and the bars on the southeast door lift. The path leading deeper into the seemingly abandoned lair lays before you.

Saber may have been essentially useless in the battle, but as his blade chopped up a piece of the defeated creature, he convinced himself it was useful.
Sheathing his blade and suppressing the last bits of resentment towards Alpha for his harsh manner, his eyes looked lazily around the room. Valens had taken a hit. He couldn't recall how severe, but he had definitely seen one of those statues collide with the General at some point. So, as he opened the door and led the way into the next room, he whispered a silent prayer for the Knight. After all, he had nothing else to do. [Favor of the Goddesses on General Richard Valens]

Rosen, tired and not in the mood at all to fight or do anything productive decided to sit back and watch the others duke it out with those statues with the piercing eyes that glowed as if the goddesses had sewed pomegranates into their sockets, blooming like crimson suns that gleaned shadows off the walls. So, with all narratives aside, he was much more entranced with the bottom of his finger nails to notice how quickly they had relieved the monsters from their guard posts and allowed the creaks to unsettle the dust and rust that jammed their continuation.
Albeit nimble, Rosen still did take the time to glance upwards at the open door which really seemed to be the only thing that kept him from waltzing off elsewhere as his broken companions weren't ever made of anything interesting to talk about. Perhaps there'd be some form of gossip behind the veil of darkness through the door he mumbled as his curiosity led his lumbering body through the narrow passage-groping at the love handles at his side.

He didn't expect finishing the Armos to be so easy, and it was especially a surprise to him that he was the one who did it. Once it crumbled to pieces, the bars on the door lifted, just has he suspected they would.
As he followed Saber and Rosen into the next room, he kept an eye out for anything that might put them in danger [Awareness Check]. The Armos Knights were a surprise, one they dealt with rather well, but they couldn't afford to be caught off guard again.
